The Vidiots

About Me

The Vidiots, aka Audio Vidiot, circulated through the Hollywood/Chinatown punk scene circa 1979, breaking hearts and eardrums before sputtering to a stop in 1981. Influences ranged from loud to louder. Their minute forty-one epic, Laurie's Lament, included spoken word by Rik L Rik and appeared on the first Rodney on the Roq compilation, the Happy Squid sampler, the Bloodstains English bootleg compilation, the feature film documentary Stoked, the Rise and Fall of Gator and most recently, the Keats Rides a Harley compilation. A collection of sonic gems was recently dusted off, in hopes of annoying a whole new generation. Website www.thevidiots.com
