www.jaysonambrose.com Although my primary focus is comedy, I’m a very creative multitalented individual that has several works of Art (Oil Painting Portraits as large as 4ft x 4ft. I also do Soapstone Sculptures) in private collections as well as on display throughout.In 2000, I went from performing magic for family and friends to going public for way too many corporations to list here. I have written and published a magic effect / routine. I wrote and performed in a 3 person stage play at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival. Very rarely will I agree to do a kid’s show, as my shows are geared towards adult audiences. My performances have allowed me to travel to the Western Provinces. Over the years I had often been asked if I did Stand-up Comedy, which I had toyed with the idea but never took serious.It wasn’t until July 31st, 2006 that I left my illusions at home and took the microphone at a Comedy Spotlight. The most satisfying part of that night was my very first heckler. I had him and the audience in gut busting laughter with my ability to put him in his place, in a friendly manner. I did my entire routine with an Irish accent, which I have never done for any type of show. After the show, you can imagine to everyone’s surprise that I don’t have an accent. I was hooked with the Stand-up Comedy bug! Within 2 months of my first performance, I was already travelling outside of my home province doing stand-up.I leave my illusions / magic at home when I’m performing at Comedy Clubs.
