"homage to my hips"
these hips are big hips.
they need space to
move around in.
they don't fit into little
petty places. these hips
are free hips.
they don't like to be held back.
these hips have never been enslaved.
they go where they want to go
they do what they want to do.
these hips are mighty hips.
these hips are magic hips.
i have known them
to put a spell on a man and
spin him like a top.

I have been dancing for most of my life, and started belly dancing about a dozen years ago. This was before the rampant classification of belly dance genres; but if you must, you can classify my dance as "Eclectic American Cabaret".
My dance is passionate, unique, humorous, sexy, & always fiery. I believe strongly in the power of belly dance to transform a woman's life by bringing her face-to-face (hip-to-belly) with her own power; to that end, I teach Beginner-level classes at my Natural Health center.
My classes are small, cozy, full of life & laughter; I am not training "performance artists", I am freeing the hips of everyday women. {Though I am always thrilled when their inner diva is unleashed.}
When I dance, I am a Goddess, a Queen, a Warrior, a Muse, a Musician. I love to share that energy with my Audience, my students, and my fellow dancers.
