Updated Q&A
Soldiers need hummers:
Ok, on your page it says you'll answer a question every week or 2... is this really kal penn or no?
Kal: It is. The page itself is regularly maintained by a friend of mine, but I do check it from time to time, and the webmaster forwards questions to be answered.
Aburaz:
ive got one question is there gonna be a new harold and kumar i heard something about harold and kumar go 2 amsterdam....u gotta have another harold and kumar
Kal: The sequel to “Harold and Kumar go to White Castle†has been written, but so far, the studio has not officially decided to make the movie. Hopefully, they will. It’s a funny script, and I’d love to do it.
Bangladesh?: do u know if any myspace has avon lady as a music code so u can put it on ur myspace?
Kal: I’m not sure about that. But I’m glad you liked the track & video enough to want to embed it. If I come across the music code, I’ll post it.
Spanish Man: What made you want to star in a serious role?
Kal: I’m assuming you’re talking about either “The Namesake†or “24â€. As an actor, I enjoy playing a bunch of different roles and watching different genres, not just comedies.
King Singh: im just wondering in the movie harold and kumar go to white castle you and john cho made good friends on set during the film im just wondering are you to friends in reality?cause i did c u 2 on G4 TV one day so im just curious
Kal:Yes, in real life Cho and I are very good friends.
A.S.S.: where did u go to college and what did u study?
Kal: For undergrad, I went to UCLA, where I started as a Theater major, but eventually ended up graduating in Sociology with a Concentration in Theater, Film, and Television.
Chameleon Girl: Thanks for the update on the new release date. It is now Sept 20th right? I assume because Fox picked this up it will be major theatres rather than in independent studio houses?? Is there a particular theatre it will premeire at here in L.A. or it is NY premiere only?
Kal: Fox Searchlight has been the distributor (and one of the investors) of the film since production began. The release date is now March 9, 2007, and the type of release (to my knowledge) is still being worked out. You can catch special screenings of the film at the Toronto Film Festival in September, and at the IACC film festival in New York in November. Thanks for spreading the word!
