DJ POS2!!

About Me

DJ POS2!! In the mid 90's Pos was a kid hungry for hiphop and thought he would fullfill that hunger with mcing but always had a nitch for djing. Rolled around with his boys from his neighborhood called "the nappeheadz" and entered a few talent shows and got some fame around his high school but figured since he was a fan of hiphop, he would not lend his weak rhymes to the art and pursue on rocking the crowd behind the turntables. In the late 90's you could catch Pos rocking vacant apartments, house parties, and school dances with his crew Products of Society on the West Side of columbus. In doing that, he meet up with DJ Lozone who was heavy in the Columbus hiphop scene and had a weekly night with DJ Przm and So What?! on OSU campus called Fuck hiphop Sundays! With an absent Przm one night, Lozone asked Pos to come down and spin on a Sunday and the rest was history. The crew was branded the name The Fonosluts and held down hiphop in columbus for 6 years straight with arguably one of the best hiphop nights in the Midwest. In the time Pos has been djing, he has rocked crowds all over the Midwest. Pos has opened for Guru, Def Jux tours, Rhymesayers tours, Dj'd for Copywrite, Dj for Spitball Crew, Mary J. Blige after party, Jean Grae, Del the funky homosapien, Tame One, Weightless Recordings, and a handfull of other notable acts and talented Ohio artist. Around Columbus you could have seen Pos DJ at Club Ice, Red Zone, Little Brothers, Skullys, Bento GO GO, High 5, The Brownstone, Cove Lounge, Opium Lounge, and many many many other venues. Always a fan of mixtapes, Pos supports local artist with his Bustown Takeover series and made some noise with his "live 95er" and "The Roots: decade of a movement" mixtapes. Being original, sticking with the basic djing skills, creative blends, quick mixes, and the "oh sh!t, where did that come from?" is what seems to seperate Pos2 from the other dj's out there.Keeping it moving in '07, the plan is still to rock crowds in Columbus and pursue the dream of playing for the masses worldwide with the music he grew up with and has always loved....
