A Little About Me:
I was born in St. Mary’s, PA and moved to Ontario, NY when I was 8. In 1990 I graduated from High School and went in to the Navy. In the 7 years I was enlisted, I traveled around the world and saw many incredible things that the small town I grew up in could not offer. I have been stationed in San Diego, CA, San Francisco, CA (2x), Seattle, WA, and Virginia Beach, VA (2x). I’ve traversed the Panama Canal (2x), been to just about every island in the Caribbean, Hawaii for 2 weeks, South America, and much more. A few years ago there was a flood in the storage unit I was renting and all my photos were destroyed – at least I have my memories.
It’s interesting how the Military can change a person. When I was growing up, I never really cared for school and only did well at the subjects that interested me – there were not many. In the service, I wanted to prove something to myself so I knuckled down and focused on being number 1 at everything I did, subsequently I graduated 1st in all my schools. That was the turning point for me in regard to my attitude toward all facets of life. I’m not religious, so do not expect me to pull out the soap box and go off on some biblical tangent. I am just saying for me things began to click, and I started to pay attention to the world. In 1997 I parted ways with the military under an honorable discharge and remained in Virginia Beach, VA for another year.
Mid 1998 I moved to St. Paul, MN to start a band with a friend I had met, and wrote music with, in the Navy. We formed a Death Metal band called ‘Incinerate’ - I was the drummer, he is currently still their guitar player. We released a few CD’s and a tour DVD under the label Brutal Bands. During the time I was with the band we played many shows across the US including a 30 day US tour with the bands Emeth, Stabwound and Eternal Suffering. In August 2005 I decided to move on to something else and left the band.
After leaving Incinerate I was in a few other bands. In November 2006 I decided to sell my drums and stop playing music. There is not a day that goes by that I do not regret selling those drums.
I am a funny man, I write my own jokes and enjoy the finely crafted art of punning. My mind is always going, whether I’m concocting some elaborate invention, or teaching myself something new (like a programming language), I’m always thinking.
Art, in one fashion or another, is my outlet. I’m not very good at drawing, but I am pretty good at digital manipulation. I’d classify myself as abstract or bizarre in my style. I have been thinking about writing a book, and I have some ideas for movies or “skitsâ€. Some of them are goofy like me, and some are more of a suspense or thriller.
