Top Secret the 'world sound' is one of the fastest rising sound systems coming out of Jamaica. They are rated as one of the best in the business, having captivated their many fans locally and overseas with their 'wicked' style of juggling and thier superior sound quality.The sound was established 10 years ago in May Pen, Clarendon by the owner who is popularly known as Top Head. Top Secret started to create a buzz throughout Clarendon and became even more popular when they relocated to Old Habour, St. Cathrine under the new management of Derrick Thompson popularly known as Slicer. In a very short time Top Secret became one of the most sought after sounds in south central jamaica. "People are always impressed by the high vibes that the selectors carry and the top quality that we play with. That has contributed to the succes of the sound, " Top Head explained.The crew in the early days comprised of Tony mentel, General Brinks and Beco fire. The Top Secret family has since grown and now comprises of manager Slicer, road manager Teddy Bashment, and Selectors beco fire, Tony Few, General Brinks, G Ice, Cedric and dj kids. Top Secret is now equipped with two complete systems and is capable of playing at three events in one night, two with sound systems and one with just records. "We play to fit any occasion, from parties, dance, clubs, we are not a clash sound but if put to the test we can defend ourselves because we are 'overloaded' with dub plates of all the big name artists," Slicer disclosed.The sound has played alongside all the top sound systems in the business, from Stone Love, Metro Media, Swatch, Rebel T, Fire Links, Tony Mattherhorn, Coppershot, Adonai, Bass Odessey, Black Kat, Sound Trooper, killamanjaro ;among others. Top Secret plays across the island and has appeared at top events such as, Blazay Blazy, Happy Mondays, Passa Passa, fully loaded Frontline Thursdays, Teen Fest, Island Explosion, the Asylum Night Club, and others. The sound is well loved overseas and gettig nuff date to played in the United States/Canada/england/france/all over the caribbeanTop secret will be representing at the stellar sound system 'face off' Fully Loaded 2006, Caribana in Canada, along with several upcoming dates in the Caribbean and North America.
