About Me

I am working as a duo with a singer named Kristi (see her Myspace in my favorites list). We are calling ourselves the Sunday Touring Party (see a link to our Myspace page below). When we have a bunch of songs ready, we'll try to add more musicians to form a full band.

I write, record and post my own songs. See "Sounds Like" (down and to your left) for a disclaimer.

I used to play guitar and bass for the Praise Team at Light of Christ UMC in Charlotte.

I also used to play guitar (and bass) in the band the Situationals (see my blog for details on how to buy a copy of the CD I played on).

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: http://www.charlotte.com/catawbariver
Band Members: Bryan A

Influences: Some of my MANY favorites: the Bigger Lovers, the Pernice Brothers, Bill Lloyd, the Beatles, Teenage Fanclub, the Velvet Crush, Big Star, Let's Active, the dB's, Tommy Keene, Cheap Trick, Dogs Die in Hot Cars, Nick Lowe, the Flamin' Groovies, the Strokes...I could go on and on and on and on...
Sounds Like: Guitar and, to a lesser extent, bass are my thing. Singing is not really my thing...but I can do what needs to be done, usually. Keyboards are also not really my thing. So...see how many singing and keyboard playing flaws you can spot in my recordings...there will be prizes at the end of the show.

New song.

This one, "Wobe," is just a snippet so far.  I have more in store, just haven't had the time to record it all. I might just keep this as an instrumental.  What do you think? Bryan

Okay...I've added a new song (at least the basic tracks). I do not have lyrics or vocals, yet...I'm still working on that.  I may have to re-mix it...the bass seems to have gotten swallowed up in...
