BRIDGE is an experiential summer program for teens taking place Monday-Friday, July 9 – August 3, from 1:30pm – 5:30pm. BRIDGE combines visual art-making, fun activities, and group dialogue to help youth explore issues that divide students in Pasadena schools. Over the course of four weeks, a diverse group of students from various Pasadena public and private high schools will learn to create mosaic tile art and discuss their different experiences as Pasadena teens.
Comprised of professional artists and trained facilitators, the BRIDGE staff will lead the group in activities and discussions that will build participants’ understanding of themselves and others. Together, the group will create an atmosphere where everyone can talk honestly about who they are, and make amazing art and new friends in the process!

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
On August 19, 2007, ENCOMPASS will hold a benefit performance called PROJECT SPOTLIGHT at the Performing Arts Center of Baldwin Park. The funds raised by the performance will support programs that spark compassion, personal responsibility and an appreciation of differences among California teenagers.PROJECT SPOTLIGHT offers teenagers a rare opportunity to discuss their identities and experiences as young artists and a forum to showcase their talents to friends, family, community leaders, and fellow artists. All performing artists will participate in a series of fun, informal discussion and rehearsal sessions from August 14-18, 12:30pm-5:30pm.
Auditions for Project Spotlight are Sat, June 9 & Sun, June 10.
