About Me

M.u.r.m.u.r. project began as a game on the Christmasâ€™eve of the year 2003 , when Gianmaria Pizzi and Francesco Libassi started to play an old , analog synthetizer , along with electronic , computer-generated sounds.This experience brought to a strange and psychedelic one-night album called Rows of houses , under the name of Kissthebride. Because of that beautiful moment the duo decided to expand his playing possibilities and started to accumulate various equipment , and studying new ways of expression. This research became their first album Murmur , a strange and sometimes minimal eight-tracks one-day album , played along with the videomaker Rino Tagliafierro. Up to this moment m.u.r.m.u.r. was all about improvvisation , and following the joy of playing togheter. In the years 2004 and 2005 the band and the director continued their collaboration. The duo started to produce music , soundtracks and every kind of sound for videoclips (The cube , Brainfag , Dreamlove) , videoart and commercials. This enduring teamwork brought to many partecipations to a lot of video contest and festivals , such as M.E.I. (Indipendent labels meeting) in Faenza. In the year 2006 M.u.r.m.u.r. kept on playing , producing all sounds for the Resfest2006 winner video A second before waking up , and a second Murmur album , preparing to play live soon. M.u.r.m.u.r. music is a mixture of cold electronic and warm , melodic organic sonorities , keeping an eye on analog and hand-made sounds , making their groove easily recognizable.
