Sunraiders was born in 1999 as the first pseudonym for musician/producer/dj Justin Taylor (founder of the uneeq collective - www.uneeq.com). Initially experimenting with leftfield sounds and combining elements of progressive house, breaks, brithop, with full orchestral scores.By 2001 a full progressive dance album was produced (utopia v1.0) with various official band remixes along the way. 2002 saw a change in direction to an electro disco sound, pioneered with the remix of Tybalts negative vibes with vocoded vocals and speaker tearing electro bass (released nov. 2003 by pbr records on ltd vinyl).2005 - 2006 the sunraiders project was put on a backburner (promising a heavier second album in 2006) while the electro rock band Dr:rtbox was resurrected from its early demise in 1999. (Dr:rtbox evolved the electro sound even more Using heavily filtered basslines mixed with heavy hip hop beats with rap vocals and guitars.)2006 -2007 After a year producing tracks for F.A.B.,.. from lollypop to the A team remix.
