I can make it alone... I can make it alone..

About Me

Well, I was born one time. In a far away land. The my parents took me to the land of "freedom" and I grew up there and was raised like a good old suburban boy. I liked playing with Legos, digging holes in my yard/landscaping, building airports, and looking at maps as a young kid. I went to High School, ran some marathons, over-achieved way too much, learned a couple of languages and waited tables and day dreamed about buying my own car. Then came college, I got this cool job throwing bags at 19 for an airline in sweaty Houston weather where I could fly for free. I learned about transportation planning in college. Then I got involved with Urban Transportation Planning in the public sector, where I got scared away with all the politics and angry union workers in Austin. I decided to pursue airline route planning, did some geeky research, and graduated. I moved out to Arizona sick of Texas politics, and yearning for some beautiful desert landscape. Before getting a 'real job' at the Company Temple here in Phoenix, I figured I'd enjoy life a bit more, while staying with the company I want to be with. I used to be a stewardess where I enjoyed devouring leftover peanuts, first class food, barking at passengers over the P.A. to sit down, and scrutinizing for Bin Laden look-a-likes. Now I work in the training department where I teach people how to hand out peanuts, throw people out of burning airplanes, or cram into those little life rafts that you can't bring luggage or high-heels (pop!). All with the benefits of seeing the world for free. I guess I'll eventually grow up. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I like boys, although my life goal is to force myself to have sex with a woman. Must do!Feel as if you need to stalk more? That unquenchable desire to learn more about this odd being? Go to http://riojaneiro.tripod.com

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People, on most occasions. I also like to meet hedonistic beings like myself. People I used to fold napkins with. or protest with. or bag groceries with. or make out with. or study at the PCL with. or run Fred's with. or meet at a random airport with. or build props at GBN with.

So this is extremely upsetting... Hmph. One of the unique things about this website is that it lets people be independent and share their individuality through the dynamics of webpages on myspace. How...

So, is that what professionalism is like?

So, I'm officially a 9 to 5-er now. Make that more like an 8 to 6-er, actually. I have my own cute little cubicle and soon I'll have my own email/phone number and business cards. It's almost overwhelm...

Buying shit is cool... and trips to NYC/Sac/LA

Another fun-filled update. Went to NYC to visit Alberto and my uncle and had fun seeing the exciting, vibrant, yet chaotic and overwhelming city that is NY. Bought Balducci's Vodka Sauce as well as th...

Rotten tangerines in Hawaii and cream-filled muffins

So, there goes Thomas again on his masquerades across the Hawaiian Islands. On this trip, I learned that I need to be much more selective on people that I take on trips. Ive been burned too many times...

(no subject)

Happy Thomas is back. Maybe it was the getaway I took to Flagstaff. Or the realization that I'm not going to wait up for people and try to read their minds. Or just a refocus on my job and think that...

"minding the gap"

So, preliminary report on London: so-so. I guess I enjoy the thrill of the big culture shock, and London really isn't anything too shocking. Perhaps its because I've been to quite a few parts of Europ...

revisiting the Live Music Capital of the World

Maybe it's springtime in hot, humid, green, white-puffy cloud Texas that I liked. Or the fact that I saw a friend who went through a lot of hardship during college finish up her degree. Or seeing the&...
