About Me

Click Here to put this clip in your profile!HOW DOES ONE PREPARE FOR THE CHALLENGE OF A LIFETIME?They come here burning with the same age-old questions. They bring their fears, their scars and the weariness borne of aimless struggle. Their reasons to be here number as many as the yellow footprints painted on the street. All come to defy limitation and place themselves alongside heroes. THEY SEEK THE CHANGE. And they will find it, if they can find the strength. There is no brighter day than the one that shines light on the knowledge that true strength lies not in self, but in unity. The others answer to the same cruel tormenter. And that together, they can shoulder the anguish. This is the hot forge that will make Marines, because at last there is no questioning of why, no wondering how. There is only determination. There is only single-minded desire. Not one among them is willing to give up. Not oneamong them would exchange tormet for freedom. FINALLY, THEY HAVE FOUND THE WILL TO BE MARINES.The change is evident now. It flashes in the way the recruits walk, the way they talk. As if there is no obstacle insurmountable. And perhaps none is. They have simply given too much to the cause to turn back. Inside every one of them beats the heart of a Marine. Now, a final test will take everything they have left. Because to find exactly what they are capable of, these few must travel far enough to stand at the precipice of their own collapse. This is the crucible: a brutal foray into combat conditions that requires a unit to pull together or fall apart. As one, they will succeed or fail miserably. Now they will witness themselves at maximum and find what it means to stand like iron in the face of a hurricane. When this is over, those who remain will reach out with dirty, callused hands to claim the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor, and the title of United States Marine. After surviving a walk through fire. There is little else that can burn.Do YOU think YOU have what it takes?

Music:

From the Halls of Montezuma To the shores of Tripoli We fight our country's battles In the air, on land, and sea. First to fight for right and freedom And to keep our honor clean; We are proud to claim the title Of United States Marine. Our flag's unfurled to every breeze From dawn to setting sun; We have fought in every clime and place Where we could take a gun. In the snow of far-off Northern lands And in sunny tropic scenes; You will find us always on the job-- The United States Marines. Here's health to you and to our Corps Which we are proud to serve; In many a strife we've fought for life And never lost our nerve. If the Army and the Navy Ever look on Heaven's scenes, They will find the streets are guarded By United States Marines
