The Sunroom Sessions

About Me

About time for an update! The Sunroom Sessions is (still) a cult for people that worship the obscurities of the sun.. and occasionally record some music.Basically its a place where Liam can put up his recordings and you can listen to them (or not).Liam has been writing and recording music in this sunroom for about eight years now so it seemed like the perfect name for a myspace when one couldn't think of the name for a band. After the (relative - thanks mum, dad) success of his first release in 2005 - the creatively titled "Liam's Songs", Liam has put together another mixed bag cd "Best of Both Worlds".The new cd (completed in June 2007) has been cut from 35 to nine tracks (after some uncommon common sense advise from Cara) and is only a year and a half late from its original planned release! One of the greatest improvements in the latest cd is that many of the tracks contain real drums and bass as opposed to synthesised/ computer generated ones in the past. However, the drums were actually recorded in the lounge room (the acoustics were terrible in the sunroom!) thus somewhat controversially undermining the accuracy and credability of the name "the sunroom sessions".Now to the band (still without a name) - lately Liam has been jamming with Kris (drums) and Dan (Bass) and they are planning some gigs in the near future. This year Liam has not been able to play much with his other jamming buddy Nat. After winning a small bar fridge at a open mic night last year, they were unable to reconcile their differences about who got to keep it and so Nat left the country! haha... nah seriously check him out (http://www.myspace.com/natblack)That's enough for now (does anyone seriously read this stuff?) There will be updates about future gigs HERE as well as occasional updates of songs (new ones or those that were not good enough to make the cd!)
