Born in North Bend, Wa on 2/18/66 and raised in Cle Elum, WA, Robert Gould has been playing music since he recieved his first guitar for Christmas in 1979.
While attending Cle Elum High School, Robert also learned how to play bass guitar and drums, but mainly played bass in Jazz band, Choir, and Concert Band where he honed his skills in ear training and chart reading, developing musical diversity by also drumming in the High School Marching Band.
Soon Robert was in demand in his hometown for his guitar, bass, drums and vocal skills.
Robert has been in many local bands in Central Washington, and has played most of the venue’s, and has appeared on numerous recordings for CD projects and radio jingles that were professionally recorded in Ellensburg and Cle Elum, WA.
In 1994, Robert joined "The Willies" (a local ’Power Country’ band), and played extensively that summer, and in 1995 recorded THE OLD MILWAUKEE LINE with the Willies, (The album got eventual airplay of all the songs on KXLE 95.3FM in Ellensburg). The Willies won a number of "Jimmy Dean Country Showdown" contests, and are still a local favorite band. Robert started off playing bass and running lights from a foot pedal, but has also switched over to play lead guitar as well.
In 2001, Robert purchased a Fostex 8 track analog recording system, and with it recorded his self titled debut CD "ROBERT ALLAN GOULD" featuring nine original instrumental compositions.
In February 2003, "Song of Hope" from his CD was played on KCPQ Channel 13 Seattle morning news segment "Featured Artists".
In October 2005, Robert released his 2nd solo CD titled "This Too Shall Pass" which features Robert once again playing all the instruments, and this time featuring vocals. Robert also produced both projects as well as all the technical work.
Lately, Robert has been playing solo acoustic gigs and was recently well recieved at an original artist showcase in Poulsbo, WA.
Robert plays regularly at Poulsbo Cornerstone Alliance Church, playing guitar on one worship team, then alternating to another team the next week on bass or drums(whichever is needed).
Robert has also played numerous benefit gigs for Cancer research, M.S., Toys for Tots just to name a few (solo acoustic and with a band).Currently, Robert has been entertaining at nursing homes in the Bremerton area and has a new cd available titled "The Wind And The Rain".
This marks Robert’s third full length cd that features Robert composing all the music, playing all the instruments and providing all vocals, mixing, producing all music and designing all album artwork utilizing his wife Cecilia’s paintings on all 3 cd’s.MONUMENTAL PERFORMANCES:
