Grandma Kim

I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm Mom to two grown, intelligent, respectable adults, and Grandma to seven perfect angels. Wendy, Dayne and Kendra will all graduate next year. Life is strange and wonderful.I keep myself busy with gardening, writing, reading, decorating and spending quality time with my amazing family. I like long walks with my husband, but sometimes I just like to go alone. I'm not really into sports but I do enjoy fishing, badminton and golf. Badminton is a sport BTW.When not doing all that fun stuff, I'm usually at work in the lab. Yeah I'm a geek. I am a Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist. I've always thought that they should just call it "Medical Laboratory Scientist" because it is a more accurate "label", and according to the ASCP my job title will change to just that next year. Finally my job will make sense to others. Labels are lame. Each of our grandchildren gets to pick a place to go when they turn 13. The oldest, Kendra, took us on an extremely surreal trip to Egypt. Next, Alexis took us on an amazing and enlightening trip to Italy. Our grandson Josh took us on an exotic trip to Japan just this last summer. Aspen is next but not for a couple of years. I wonder where life may take us in the meantime. Well actually I'm not wondering anymore. We are taking Wendy and Kendra to THAILAND for their graduation. Hopefully soon, we will be able to also take Dayne to FRANCE. He's graduating from IUPUI where I did my internship. He has exceeded my expectations and I'm so very very proud of him!Did I mention 7 perfect angels?

Dumbledore and Dobby. The ghost who lives in my house. Paul from the New Testament. Isaac from the Old Testament. Joan of Ark. Any Kind Alien. Whomever built Stonehenge. Greg Mortenson. A guru.
