About Me

Greetings. My name is J. Jacob Kilmer, and I will be your guide.. so come along for the ride.
Right now, 7:22 PM, March 28, 2007, I am sitting outside Studio F in a facility in the foothills of the Appalachain Mountains. I have been recording (other bands) and writing (at home) over the course of the past month. This adventure will soon be coming to a close and I will be moving onward with my life. Progress has slowed in the past year, but I am looking to change that.. very, very soon.
Yes, this is another one of those one-man band/singer-songwriter projects, but this is what I’m doing because this is what I love. Writing comes when the inspiration does, and I hope to share more of my work with you in the near future.
"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs. There’s also a negative side." - Hunter S. Thompson

it’s that time for the annual update

I have devoted far less time to songwriting in the past few years than I had anticipated. It's become a joke to me having a mere two clips of the same songs on here that were written and recorded over...

Been a long time, been a long, lonely, lonely time...

It's amazing how nearly two years have passed since the last update. Music is still being written, though not at the pace we would prefer. We each still have our youth and believe in this concept, but ...

Phantasms and Manifestations

I had an interesting revelation in my life last week. Josh Blume, the famous guitarist, and I were driving to a recording studio on the edge of the Appalachains. We were in the middle of a conversatio...

The Plan / Whats in the Works:

I am back to writing again. I took a break to clear my head for a while, and I started to miss the sense of accomplishment when I finish up a song. So I think I am going to lock myself away for the we...
