My name is Charlene, some people call me Charlena, Charlie, Charly, Lydia, or Emily, but you know who you are so please, everyone else, it is Charlene to you, lol, I am bad at keeping other peoples' names' straight so with nicknames given to me, I get confused about who I am, lol. I am as happy as I can be living with my mother in Rathdrum, Idaho. It is gorgeous here and even though some people are racist, sexist, and against certain religions, some people are good- like there are some good and bad people everywhere. Still, that has been a hard thing for me to deal with. I am very open-minded and meeting a lot of close-minded people really puts a damper on my overall look at the human race. I am pretty open-minded because I grew up in Novato, California. I miss all my friends from there but Idaho is where I am now, so I have to accept it, sigh. I have become estranged from my father who lives in Novato for about a 3 years now so it doesn't hold that "home" feel to it anymore but to know the streets and recognize the people in the stores and in the schools- it is a place I hold close to my heart. I have been pretty stressed lately and it makes me sick, sigh, so I haven't felt physically good for over a month now. I don't know how depressed I still am, if I am at all, but mentally I am a mess with what I want to do with myself and my current life. I just broke up with my boyfriend, the 3rd I have had in my life. I just have no luck in the romantic part of my life. I sure want luck there though. Different things like age, distance, leaving school, and moving have kept relationships from sprouting in my life or becoming more than short term. - aghhh I am lonely.(and horny, lol) I love animals, I have 4 cats, Holly is an Ocicat, Barry is a Maine Coon, Phillip is white and grey with a heart pattern on his side, and Miyu is my little black kitten, 4 dogs, Laddie is a Rough Collie (and at my dads, I miss you Lad), Penelope is a pug, Pakkun is my pug puppy boy, Goldie Hawn/the Pom is a pom-pekinese mix (mostly Pomeranian) and she is a pup too, and 3 ferrets, Silver is a grey and black mix whose back legs are paralyzed, Mr. Brown looks like a black footed ferret, and Ms. Snow is a white and grey mix with lovely black blue eyes. I am going to breed Penelope and Pakkun pretty soon. I want a coatamundi, silver foxes, a wolf-hybrid, another collie, Maine Coon, and Ocicat, and an exotic cat but I am going to wait a while until I get my own place and start college. I enjoy my pets company and cuddle with my kitties constantly and it isn't that they aren't enough, I just love cuddly creatures that I can give a good home to around me 24/7 so I want just want more of different breeds and exotics.(with the puppies and ferrets right now, there is no way I can handle anything more, even a fish on top of all this madness, so my plan for a small farm is put off into the future) Hehe, as you see, I really love animals! Anime is my other passion. I have become obsessed beyond belief. I go to conventions in Seattle, San Francisco, and San Jose and have an enormous collection of DVDs, figurines, plushies, manga, clothing, and other merchandise. It makes me feel more alive and the whole Japanese culture amazes me. I feel so at home in Japantown in San Francisco, it is just so wonderful. I was taking a Japanese language class and I hope to go over on a student exchange in college, go to college there, or teach English over there. I really love TV and movies, they make me feel good. I learn a lot from the lessons some teach and I go all over to find smaller theatres that play the selected releases. I could talk about the meanings of movies for hours and am there to think more than to be entertained. (Not that I don't like an entertaining movie) I also like the more artfully shot films and I love to share my finds with my friends. A lot of them don't see movies regularly and I love to discuss good films so I try to get them interested. I love to read, and have started reading suspense, mystery, and sci-fi books again. (I hadn't been reading any books for about 6 months) I read plenty of original adult fan fiction online and get a lot of joy out of it. Some of it is pretty sick stuff, but I love the freedom of expression and am very interested in the perversions of the human mind. I enjoy writing myself and hope to put some of my own fan fics up soon. Going along with the internet topic, I am really bad at getting back to people and keeping in contact with the phone, not to mention online because I take about 30 mins on average per e-mail I send to friends and with about 5 messages in my boxes that need to be responded to plus friends I have neglected to contact or call back I get swamped and avoid people at all costs. I am sorry everyone who I have done this to, because every time I read or hear from you, I am jumping up and down with a big smile on my face and my non-responsiveness may not give you that impression. I am seriously trying to work on this habit/fear of mine and also time-management skills on responding promptly and not being late to things so hopefully I shall improve in the next couple of months. Bare with me my friends. I am doing pretty well with myspace now though. I got my GED about 5 months ago now. I plan to go to college at some point in my future and now it is looking like Fall 2008 is when i will be starting. I have no clue as to what I want to study. I am interested in Biotech and Genetics, Architecture, Arts of all kind, psychology, criminology, writing, Japanese, script writing, directing, designing, engineering, animal care, and more, I just have no idea which to pick or what those fields are really like. I hope to do some internships and take some interesting community college classes to learn more about my career interests. Besides that, I am looking for a job to save up for college. I have never worked before so it is pretty difficult but I hope to find something soon. I get my driver's license in about a month if I pass the test and I am looking for a 60's-early 70's hearse to fix up as my car. I am also thinking about a Scion because an old hearse wouldnt be too reliable as my main car. I am going to be volunteering more because I enjoy it and it looks good on college applications. I plan on going on a road trip next summer and go through every state except Alaska and Hawaii(lol) as my farewell to high school and a hello to my new driving abilities and new life. I mapped it out but I have yet to find 3 companions who are able and willing to go along with me. Sleeping in the car, stopping at random relatives, seeing New York City, Chicago, New Orleans, Orlando, and more, what more is there to want?(The Hershey Factory, lol) I have figured we will each need about $1000 + extras such as plays and theme park tickets and 2 months of time. I know, I sound nuts, but I am serious so anyone interested in traveling with me (I need one guy for protection, lol) tell me. I want to plan as soon as I can so people don't make other plans. We could add an extra car if someone else can drive too. To see all of America? Come on people, it will be an experience we will never forget! I may have one friend interested for at least a road trip of some kind so i can't wait! But the big thing that is going on in my life is my Around the world trip! I will be gone for 9 months in New Zealand for 1 month, Australia for 2 months, Japan for 3, and all over Europe (trying to go to every country) for another 3. I am also planning to hit Orlando, Florida, New York, New York, and Chicago, Illinois along with visiting all my friends in Cali and Disneyland in LA. I was originally supposed to leave for this trip in September 2006, but now it is going to be pushed to either June, 2007 or September 2007. I changed my plans because I have more to stay for here, I am very behind on my trip plans, the house still needs to be fixed, and i dunno, it all was just a bit too fast. But I am going, don't worry about that, it is the next big step in my life and I am going!!! Well, enough of that, this is supposed to be about me, lol. Well it is, I have a constant urge to hit the open road and I love meeting new people and experiencing new things and I want to finish up our country before I move to better ones, lol.
