About Me

This myspace page is dedicated to my nephew, CHRIS HIGHTOWER. I am his Aunt Didi (or Debbie). He was tragically and too soon taken from his family on July 19, 2002, (following a car accident that happened late on July 17th) one short year after he graduated from Ada High School. Chris was a skateboarder first and foremost. He LOVED to skate! And like a typical skater, he sometimes came home with some pretty brutal injuries, but never let on like anything was wrong. I never knew him to have a true enemy - he was easy going, laid back and did not like conflict. I wish I could be more like he was. Chris was an only child. Our whole family was blessed to have him for the short time we did. He's in a better place, but as humans, we are selfish and wish he was here with us now. We miss him more than words can express and while we are able to go on with our day to day lives, it's just not the same without our precious Chris to share it with.Chris had (and still has) some amazing friends. It's been a privilege to know them and now, to get to know them again through this myspace page. Some of you (Ferg, Jo Anna, Jaz to name a few) have been generous enough to share some of your personal pics of Chris so I could post them on this page. I am always looking for more! If you knew Chris and have some pics to share, please do! He loved you all so much! Thanks and God bless each of you!xo Didi

My Interests

SKATING!!! Chris also loved playing PlayStation2 and was really, really good at it. So good, that I would never accept his offer to play against him. I'd rather watch because he was amazing!

I'd like to meet:

If Chris answered this, it would undoubtedly be like Tony Hawk or some other big skater! He loved watching extreme sports on TV too.

Music:

Eminem, Rage Against the Machine, Mixmaster Mike, Beastie Boys, Tupac, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Sammy Hagar and I'm sure there's a lot more than I just can't recall the band names right now - as I get more info., this will be more accurate

Movies:

Scarface, Joe Dirt, Goodfellas, Orange County

Television:

Extreme sports of any kind

Books:

Chris wasn't real big on reading in his spare time, because it's hard to read when you're on a skateboard, doing jumps, etc. ;)

Heroes:

GOD - and family - Chris was very close to his father, Mark, his grandparents Bill & Betty, his mother, Janet, his Uncle KC, his cousin/niece/little sister, Devon and me, his Aunt Didi. Chris is OUR hero!
