About Me

Dear Lord, Give me the greatness of heart to see the difference between duty and his love for me. Give me understanding that I may know, when duty calls him he must go. Give me a task to do each day, to fill the time when he's away. And Lord, when he's in a foreign land, keep him safe in your loving hand. And Lord, when duty is in the field, please protect him and be his shield. And Lord, when deployment is so long, please stay with me and keep me strong. Amen.I love a soldier With all my heart I see him almost never; we are always apart. We may not be together, but love does not give in. To let something like this go would be such a sin. He is courageous and he is a man, protecting his country as best as he can. The last time I saw him? Seven months past. But I feel his love for me and I know it will last. Perhaps there will be peace; perhaps there will not. I hold on to hope; it's all that I've got. My love for him grows. It's stronger each day. The distance between us can't hold it at bay.
