Motorcycles, AMA/MotoGP/WSB Racing, music (mostly metal, anything but hip hop/rap - if you like it OK but it just isn't for me), art (Geiger, Escher, and such), Macintosh, real estate, mechanical engineering, CAD, experimental aviation, bass & sitar, photography, firearms (and the safe and proper handling of such items), beer & wine, etc. That's the tip of the iceburg, I'm into just about anything that is mentally stimulating. As of this past April I've been bitten by the astronomy bug and have ebayed several telescopes and far too many accessories. This addiction has really expanded my perspective of how small we are compared to so many wonders that lie above.
Intelligent people with a purpose in life. Bands I like that I would have never heard of without MySpace. Motorcyclist that share the enthusiasm of riding and routes through Texas that find the inner peace within us. Just about anyone with an open mind and a good heart. Astronomers! Let's pack the scopes and find a good camping spot!
Mostly heavy stuff but have some eclecticness at times. Pre-Load Metallica, Slayer, Chimaira, Anthrax, Damageplan, Godsmack, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Disturbed, Powerman 5000, Mr. Sinister, Cradle of Filth, S.O.D., Armored Saint, Fates Warning, Dream Theater, Queensryche, Faith No More, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Type O Negative, UPO, Hollister Fracus, Pantera, NIN, Saigon Kick, Mushroomhead, Adema, Decapitated, Full Circle, Darlahood, Rammstein, Stabbing Westward, Ozzy, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Chevelle, Seether, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, etc. Hey, I like it heavy. I can get funky sometimes, as well as eastern indian and some classical. I played violin as a kid until my hands outgrew the instrument so I can appreciate a good fiddle as long as it isn't something boring.
Ridley Scott films, Terminator series, Star Trek, Shawshank Redemption, Hannibal, Pulp Fiction, Snatch, not a big movie buff but I appreciate a good flick. Oh, Caddyshack and Airplane.....sometimes you just need to laugh.
Speedvision, Modern Marvels, Tales from the Crypt, Outer Limits, and X Files. Stunt Junkies was a cool pilot but they ran out of steam, as has Mythbusters. I liked the motorcycle shows Discovery had until they just burned the subject. You can only watch so many fenders get built before it's routine and not interesting to watch anymore. Recently the astonomy thing has pulled me outdoors and away from the computer/internet so I've watched maybe 12 hours of TV in the past 3 months.
Carlos Casteneda, Frank Herbert, Douglas Adams, and Stephen King.
