About Me

You've seen the movie, now you can experience the real thing, the school that inspired the film. The Paul Green School of Rock Music is the nations premier performance based rock music program. Since 1998 the Paul Green School of Rock has been taking students ages 7-18 and turning them into genuine rock stars. We are now accepting students for the new location in Baltimore, Maryland. For more info on the school or to sign up call 410-366-ROCK ... email [email protected] or message us .

Students receive 45 minute private lessons on the instrument of the their choice. Students also participate in weekly 3 hour supervised rehearsals to prepare them for the main event, THE SHOW! Our shows each center on a theme, and the students spend time delving into the catalogs of certain artists, styles and periods of rock music. Past shows have featured very well received student performances in: Pink Floyd's The Wall, Led Zeppelin, Guitar Gods, AC/DC, best of the 80s, Punk Rock, Devo, Frank Zappa, Queen, The Beatles and many many more. We find that the combination of private lessons and group band practice with their peers is the best way to motivate kids to practice hard, overcome stage fright, and become amazing musicians. Whether your son / daughter is an absolute beginner or an advanced player, we accept students at all experience levels and will place them with the proper instructor to make sure they are challenged. Beginners participate in the shows along side of more advanced students. All Paul Green School of Rock branches have top-notch professional musicians that teach all rock instruments (guitar, bass, drums, keyboards) as well as vocal coaches. You can read the school's manifesto here .

The PG School of Rock Baltimore has teamed up with the legendary 8x10 Club . Yes that is correct, if you enroll, you will get to play at the 8x10, one of the areas coolest and most well respected venues. A real show!!! In addition to the weekly lessons and rehearsals, we also hold rock classes, open jams, and seminars with such themes as Songwriting, Music Business 101, Tightening Up the Rhythm Section, What Really Goes Into a Tour, How to Get Gigs and Promote Your Band, and more.
