Lina P..s real name is Shaleena S. Perry, She was born in Queens, N.Y. with her mother, father and 3 sisters. Lina P. was the middle child. Growing up in church she developed an amazing talent in singing. Lina P has been singing ever since she could remember. She would sing in her church choir every Sunday along with her 3 sisters. In the year of 2000 she, her sister and two friends formed a gospel group called the ..Heavenly Voices.., where they performed at local churches concerts and etc. The group ended in 2003. Lina P. branched off and became a solo R&B artist. She was discovered by a member of the group ..Street Glory.. who are known in Long Island, N.Y. she then started writing and recording her own music. She made her first single ..Good Girl Gone Bad...
Later she started recording with a group called ..D-Rugz.., which her previous boyfriend is a member of. Not knowing her own talent Lina P. realized that this could make a great career for her. The feed back that she was getting from friends, family and people she did not even know, really made her believe in herself. So now Lina P. is working on her demo, press kit and also her website www.linap.net which is under construction. She is also working with known producers which you might have heard their talent on her websites.To enhance her promotion she is performing at local talent show and showcases.
One of her promotion strategies is to get her first single on local radio stations. She is also joining together with her sister Sherina Perry Williams which is the C.E.O. of ..Starkle Light Picture.., to do a document on her life as a struggling artist. This documentary will capture not just her music life but also her personal life. This documentary will give an outlook of how an artist struggles to get in the music industry, and will also educate and inspire young artist that want to reach their goals, and accomplish their dreams.
Lina P..s drive and ambition is a strong believer in God, and her amazing talent will surely get her to the top. Lina P..s hopes and dreams are to one day have her own Major Record Label also her own clothing Line. She appreciates all the people who are currently working with her and those to come.
