AYASOLTEC-is a Technical Deathmetal band based out of Austin,Tx. Founded by Juan Torres- one time guitarist of the band Masochism(1993-2006).
Ayasoltec maintains Deathmetal as a musical foundation,yet, the influence of different genres ranging from 80's Heavy Metal to Modern Extreme Metal aswell as Middle-Eastern passages,Latin based percussive rhythms,can be heard.
Lyrically based primarily on Mayan and Aztec life and death. A topic so fitting; when combined with the precisive delivery of the music; that so often evokes the listener to feel as if they are a part of the journey to the past.
Along with a Bi-Lingual approach in which the English and Spanish languages are used to best represent the music; the result is a brutal,hypnotic display of musical complexity that is equally devastating as their live presence.
AYASOLTEC is the Soundscape for Sacrifice.
