Humble Loving People... .. Â Â .. .................(BUDDHA AND A PRINCE) 'Buddha was sitting in the shade of a tree when a very rich prince riding an energetic horse,wearing shining armor,and followed by a number of personal guards,came to him.The prince asked Buddha to accept him as a disciple,but Buddha told that he was not yet ready.The prince,humiliated,went back to his palace and started meditating on possible reasons for the refusal.He concluded that the showy manner in wich he had come in front of one whom he wanted as master had been incorrect................................................... ............................................ So,a year later he went back again to him.This time he was alone,walking,and he waswearing humbler clothes.Hemade the same request,but again he got the same negative answer.After much thinking he concluded once more that he had not presented himself in the right manner...................................................... ........................................... The following year,in a very silent way,wearing extremely humble clothes,he went again to Buddha.When Buddha opened his eyes and saw him,the prince prostrated himself,and begged,once again,for the opportunity of becoming his disciple.Buddha was moved and told him that he would go to see him during the year........................................................ .............................................. One year later,full of anguish,the prince went to Buddha.Once again he was at his feet,his eyes full of tears,stating that he had waited all year and had not seen him......................................................... .............................................. The Bouddha answered,"Yes,you saw me,but you kicked me away." The prince was horrified and swore one hundred times that he had never done such a thing....................................................... .............................................. Buddha,after calming him down,said,"Do you remember a very poor,old man wearing rags,who,during a ceremony,got close to your horse? You kicked him away violently.That man was I."'
