As an original member of one of Canadas most popular sound crews, Baby Blue, Torontos DJ Chief helped set a standard for DJs that is still being copied, years after the blue print was created. A DJ whose talent refuses to be pigeon holed, Chief is on top of his game. Touring nationwide and even internationally, Chief has opened for and played at private parties for artists, sports and fashion celebrities including A-list names such as Mary J. Blige, DJ Clue, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z the list is almost endless!For almost 15 years, DJ Chief has been a fixture on college radio and beyond, influencing dozens of artists, listeners, and up and coming DJs along that journey. He first gained a loyal following by co-hosting a prime time morning slot on CHRY 105.5 FM for 2 years (1994-1996). After leaving Baby Blue Sound Crew in 1999, Chief made a name for himself as a solo DJ in clubs throughout the country, and as part of one of Torontos hottest, and most respected radio shows, WorldWide (CIUT 89.5FM, Thursdays 6AM to 9AM). For the past 7 years, Chief has brought nothing but heat to the airwaves, offering listeners exclusive interviews with international artists, special mixes of new music and world premiers that cant be heard elsewhere.Developing a strong following in the soca genre, he is now known as an all-around DJ, with artists from all over the world rushing to put new music in his hands. When hes not touring, Chief can be found in clubs throughout the country on any given weekend. He has also won the respect of his peers, as was proven when he was voted Soul Choice DJ of the Year 2000.When hes not being flown to exotic locales such as Bermuda, Miami or Trinidad to play, Chief is contemplating his next step in the music game. About his future, Chief still has a long To-Do list, which includes even more traveling, producing, and helping others to achieve their goals within the realm of entertainment.
