About Me

"CHRISTOPHERGender: MasculineUsage: EnglishPronounced: KRIS-to-fur [key] Means "bearing Christ", derived from Late Greek ???st?? (Christos) combined with fe?? (phero) "to bear, to carry". Christopher was the legendary saint who carried the young Jesus across a river. He is the patron saint of travellers."
27 yrs old. I'm researching Myspace for the time being. I hear this is like an "internet phenom" or something. I went to the University of Idaho. I also went to Lakes City High School in Coeur d'Alene Idaho where I appeared in a few dramatic productions and also worked backstage. I have never been married and have no kids. I believe in the Christian God yet view life from a Buddhist or Lao Tzu context. I believe that all people/races can live in peaceful harmony and understanding. The variety and uniqueness of people increases the total overall quality of life. I also think science and Chemistry are cool. I consider myself a political moderate who understands both the "liberal" left and "traditional" right. That means I lean slightly towards the Democrats yet understand what a traditional Republican is (a republican should be someone who limits spending, decreases the size of the federal government and has "traditional values"). I think I am Spanish (some latin gene in there), French and English in ancestry. I have learned to value all peoples and cultures that contribute to the human experience. I used to play FFXI under the infamous name of Grimlok (ok ok I'm back). I've always been heterosexual. My favorite comedians are absurdists like Monty Python, Dave Chappelle, Douglass Adams and maybe Seinfeld. I was born here and lived there for 12 years. I like cookies, pasta, sushi and curry type meals. I like these cars: Volvo S40, Subaru, Ford Fusion, Mini Cooper, Honda Accord, Chevrolet, VW (their slanted and off the wall attitude changed my mind about VW - just watch "The Jetta Report"). My favorite dogs are the Papillon, the Samoyed and the Chihuahua. I like to drink alcohol like Sapporo, Widmer, Arrogant Bastard beer (really hoppy), Grey Goose vodka, mixed drinks with Midori. I play guitar really well and have been playing for about 8 years now. I like to make demo tapes in my basement mixing tracks together. I don't like pop music or top40 very much. My favorite bands are : Flying Saucer Attack, Kool Keith, Mogwai, some Aphex Twin, Harold Budd. I was the former dj of notorious college radio shows at the University of Idaho. I ruled Thursday and Friday nights with a series of shows such as Elaborate Burn (ref to an old FSOL song and also to Al Burian's Burn Collector zine - I don't agree with all his ideas however Burian is an awesome existential writer), something something shine shoes (not actually about shoes at all instead was a vague reference to a genre of music called shoegazer which also has nothing to do with shoes it's actually a term used to describe the way they play their instruments), The Big Mix-Up (Mix-Up as in music also Mix-Up as in huge error, like as if people followed someone around thinking they were a certain person only to find out it's a completely different person all along) etc. The shows were insanely popular with the late night drinking etc. crowd and I got many on air calls from fans. The show was a crazy mix of techno, Postrock (another name for shoegazer as in "Post-Modern"), rock, Jamaican Dub, Jazz, soundtracks and country. Heavy on the Dub and Bliss rock usually. My true obsession with music began when I listened deeply to Sonic Youth's old classic "Daydream Nation" (aka the dream world).I also practice sword fighting and katana arts for fun. I use a wooden sword for this (bokken) so I don't accidently cut my opponent into shreds. I also work out at 24 hour fitness when time from work allows. I also think people should have less kids these days and that the earth is too crowded . Use birth control when having sex, it does wonders for both the ecosystem and your bank account/credit rating (being sexually ignorant will cost you money, harm the environment, reduce your enjoyment of life and possibly make you go bankrupt from accident babies). The first time I had sex was a multi-go-around funfest at college. Nowadays, despite my knowledge and charm, I never get laid because I live in a city composed of 40% retired people, 20% people that got married at 17 at some feudal backwoods junior prom and 40% ultra conservative people who moved here with their families. There are no single people in this city and nowhere for single people to meet other single people because everyone is married. The few single girls I have met were single for a reason, either with no job or a single mommy with four "accidental" kids from previous harrowing relationships. Ah, Spokane.
Daydream Nation foreva
Kraftwerk from the 70's. It was edited for TV to make them seem more like robots. Wolfgang is rad.
Lemon Jelly makes some of the most refreshingly life affirming music around. It usually combines folk rhythms with electronica in a hugely positive way. Their album "Lost Horizons" can also be read as "limitless possibilities" in life. I.e. a boundless horizon where one is spacewalking.
..
Figured I would change up something. Someone got this video while Kool Keith was waiting for food at a diner. Kool Keith is a philosophical type thinking dude. He is thinking about subjects like marketing, seltzer water, and why people like stuff. It's like Seinfeld.
