Black Butta

"Black Butta soul, voice so smooth, it's smooth like butta," is a verse from one of his songs. Shareef Ali McQueen was born and raised in Brooklyn, but currently resides in Jamaica Queens. The R&B Crooner was inspired by great singers such as Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway to name a few. The influence of these singers left an indelible mark and motivated Shareef to pursue a career in music.Taking voice lessons influenced the soulful crooner to blend R&B , Hip Hop, Pop and Gospel in his music. This soulful combination credited Shareef two successful winning performances at "Showtime At The Apollo" and various performances at "open mic nights "afforded him great confidence.In addition to these credits, Shareef sang lead/background vocals for pokemon Jhoto, cartoon series for the CW 11 Network. The song "Never Too far from home" is known worldwide as far as Canada to Japan.
