About Me

Astrophix (pronounced Uh-Straw-Fix). This isn't your average local band; Astrophix has been around for over 6 years and progressed into what many of their fans call "A Musical Masterpiece." With influences from bands like Underoath and Story of the Year, Astrophix creates their own unique sound, which is highly uncommon in today's music scene, with infectious guitar hooks and drumming by Xavie Gonzalez that is unpredictably imaginative as it is musical.
The do-it-yourself attitude this four piece ensemble brings to the table is enough motivation to move mountains. Astrophix has one of the fastest growing fan bases in the Rio Grande Valley, if not in all South Texas. I recently had a chance to see one of their live shows, and was shocked with the entire shtick. They play with raw energy and drama, which makes it exciting for the audience, who not to mention knew every single word to their songs.
The group continues to evolve, collaborating on every song to create the diverse yet unique, cohesive sound that is Astrophix. Consider yourself warned about the next big thing, and just see if you can resist tapping your foot and singing along.
