Ever since I was like 5 years old I have been fascinated by Graffiti Art. I never even thought that later on in my teen years to present time, that I was going to be a part of the movement. But ever since my early childhood I have been into drawing so I found my nitch early on, unbeknownst to me that I would still be at it in my 30s.
Having the internet and cell phones and all the modern conveniences we have now a days, I wonder if the newer generation of Graff writers really know what the real deal was for the Graff scene in the Desert back in the day. It took a lot more back then to be good because any time you wanted to get updated on styles and what was new for the time you really had to take a trip to Los Angeles. Finding out about caps was an elusive mystery that I was determined to find out about because I noticed a difference between stocks and the fine caps we have now. Man, everything is available for kids to get good way easier than back then. Kids are getting good at Graff a lot faster rate now-a-days.
I want to just name off some of the individuals who had an influence on my art, starting with local Desert Catz: Toper, Devine, Defs(Cezer Muñoz-A big influence!-PSA), Train(PSA), Alert(PSA), Step(PSA), Smash (STP), Fry (STP), Bust & Heist(594NK originators), Boks(594), Too Fast, Blasto(PSA), AC Chill(PSA), Krush(Tyree Jesse), Freddy Negrete-Coyote(Los Angeles), Outer(594), Yipes & Zomer. If I didn't mention you I am sorry I am just trying to get in the ones who were really in there with me:)
