About Me

Joshua Hagler is the author and artist of The Boy Who Made Silence, an upcoming comic book series published by AAM/Markosia. Winning the Xeric Grant in 2006 allowed the artist to self publish issue one of the series, which was initially released under the name 5 Mined Fields Publishing in April 2007. Now with a new publisher, the series will begin fresh with a re-edit of issue 1 with a brand new cover, new lettering, and improved print quality.As a working artist in the San Francisco Bay Area, Joshua Hagler has gained wide exposure and recognition for his paintings which include international awards allowing him to exhibit in cities such as London and Berlin.
