Edye Evans Hyde has been performing jazz, blues and pop music for over 20 years in West Michigan, Los Angeles and Asia. Edye has shared the stage with world renowned blues singer Linda Hopkins, pop singer Michael Bolton, actress Connie Stevens, the late Ray Charles and Cuban trumpet player, Arturol Sandoval.
Edye has also appeared with The Grand Rapids Symphony and The West Shore Symphony performing songs from her acclaimed CD’s Girl Talk, and Lady with A Song.
Edye’s stage and screen performances have included principle roles in Dream Girls, Ain’t Misbehavin, Smokey Joe’s Caf.., Little Shop of Horrors, Blues For an Alabama Sky, Nunsense, Barnum(with) Peter Scolari, Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill, Ragtime, and Fences and Baby.Edye can currently be seen in the independent film “Last Chair,†the Warner Brothers film “Who do Fools Fall in Loveâ€, and the new children’s television show “Come On Overâ€, where she plays Ms. Lucy.( www.comeonover.tv)Girl Talk
