About Me
..
UNDERSTAND THIS: Zionism has nothing to do with Judaism, just as intolerance has nothing to do with Christianity, and violence nothing to do with Islam. Religion is often used as an excuse for oppressive acts, and as a shield from truth. What is happening in occupied Palestine has nothing to do with religion. Ask any Orthodox Jew.
And now for a little genocide talk…
"Here lies the saint, Doctor Baruch Kapal Goldstein, blessed be the memory of the righteous and holy man, may the Lord revenge his blood, who devoted his soul for the Jews, Jewish religion and Jewish land. His hands are clean and his heart is clear. He was killed as a martyr of God on the 14th of Adar, Purim, in the year 5754."
~Inscription on the grave (made as a shrine visited by pilgrims), of the mass murderer Baruch Goldstein. An American Physician and an Israeli settler of Hebron, Goldstein indiscriminately murdered 29 worshippers kneeling in a mosque in 1994.
On Baruch Kapal Goldstein’s act, Ginsburg stated:
"The killing by a Jew of a non-Jew, i.e. a Palestinian, is considered essentially a good deed, and Jews should therefore have no compunction about it."
Rabbi Yitzhak Ginsburg, head of the Kever Yossev Yeshiva (school of Talmud) in Nablus stated:
"The blood of the Jewish people is loved by the Lord; it is therefore redder and their life is preferable."
Just a little racism among friends
"There are a few hundred thousand Negroes but that is a matter of no significance." ~The British authorities to Chaim Weizman on the subject of the Palestinians prior to 1948.
"We must not forget that we are dealing here with a semi-savage people, which has extremely primitive concepts. And this is his nature: If he senses in you power- he will submit and will hide his hatred for you. And if he senses weakness- he will dominate you. These Semites- they are anti-Semites." ~ Zionist leader Moshe Smilansky
Rabbi Meir Kahane told CBS News that his teaching that Arabs are "dogs" is derived "from the Talmud." (CBS 60 Minutes, "Kahane").
Just prior to the British conquest of Palestine, Chaim Weizmann wrote describing the indigenous Palestinians:
"[the indigenous population was akin to] the rocks of Judea, as obstacles that had to be cleared on a difficult path." (Expulsion Of The Palestinians, p. 17)
There, of course, were white settlers prior to 1948, and it is fascinating to note that behaviors and attitudes haven’t changed in 100 years…
In a pamphlet under the heading "Truth from Palestine" published in 1891, Ahad Ha'Am wrote of how Jewish settlers at the time treated the indigenous Palestinians:
"[The Jewish settlers] treat the Palestinian Arabs with hostility and cruelty, trespass unjustly, beat them shamelessly for no sufficient reason, and even take pride in doing so. The Jews suddenly find themselves with unlimited freedom, wild freedom that only exists in a land like Turkey. This sudden change has produced in their hearts an inclination towards repressive tyranny." Ahad Ha'Am warned: "We are used to thinking of the Palestinians as primitive men of the desert, as a donkey-like nation that neither sees nor understands what is going around it. But this is a great error. The Arab, like all sons of Sham, has sharp and crafty mind . . . Should time come when life of our people in Palestine imposes to a smaller or greater extent on the natives, they will not easily step aside." (One Palestine Complete, p. 104)
Ben-Gurion stated that Zionism was largely a movement of Western Jews, specifically from Europe and America. In his opinion, the Jews of Europe were:
"…the leading candidates for citizenship in the State of Israel. In the absence of the European Jews, the state of Israel had to bring in Jews from Arab countries. Ben Gurion compared them with the Africans who were brought in as slaves to America.
Dr. Y. Meir (who was the General Director of the Ministry of Health in 1949) was "horrified" to learn that the "black Jews" (Falashas of Ethiopia) could immigrate to the "Jewish state," he said:
"I hope that this report is unfounded." Eighteen months later the Jewish Agency's representative in Aden, Shelomo Schmidt reported:
"My investigation shows that the problem of the Falashas is not at all simple, because these people's ways are not much different from those of the Abyssinians, and that intermarriage is natural among them. There is also among them a large number of people with venereal diseases." (1949, The First Israelis, p. 144-145) It is worth noting that these "black Jews" could not immigrate to the "Jewish state" despite their hardship in their country, until the Likud came into power in the late 1970s, which was done mostly for political reasons since "oriental Jews" historically voted with the Likud.
While speaking to the Soviet Deputy Foreign Minister Vishinsky in the early 1950s, Moshe Sharett expressed interest in receiving Eastern European Jewish immigrants rather than Moroccan Arab Jews. In his opinion "the Jews of Eastern Europe are the salt of the earth" who should take precedence over other Jews in immigrating to the "Jewish state.†He said:
"There are countries from which not all Jews need to emigrate. It is not so much of quantity as of quality. Our role in Israel is a pioneering one, and we need people with certain strength of fiber. We are very anxious to bring the Jews of Morocco [to perform manual labor]. But we cannot count on the Jews of Morocco alone to build the country, because they have not been educated for this. We don't know what may yet happen to us, what military and political defeats we may yet have to face. So we need people who will remain steadfast in any hardship and who have a high degree of resistance. For the purpose of building up our country, I would say that the Jews of Eastern Europe are the salt of the earth…" (1949, The First Israelis, p. 173)
"We [Ashkenazi] Jews have nothing in common with what is called the 'Orient,' thank God. To the extent that our uneducated masses have ancient spiritual traditions and laws that call the Orient, they must be weaned away from them, and this is in fact what we are doing in every decent school, what life itself is doing with great success. We are going in Palestine, first for our national convenience, [second] to sweep out thoroughly all traces of the 'Oriental soul.' ~ Ze'ev Jabotinsky
Prior to the arrival of the Arab North African Jews to the "Jewish state," Ha'aretz newspaper published the following report:
"…this is a race unlike any we have seen before. They say there are differences between people of the Tripolitania, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria, but I can't say I have learned what those differences are, if they do, in fact, exist. They say, for example, that the Tripolitanians and Tunisians are better than the Moroccans, and Algerians, but it's the same problem with them all.â€
During a political consultation with Ben-Gurion in 1949, David Horowitz (then General Director of the Ministry of Finance and subsequently the President of the Bank of Israel) expressed his opinion of the North African Arab Jews status in the "Jewish state," he stated:
"The [North African Arab Jewish] population in [transit] camps is becoming a sort of a second nation, a rebellious nation which views us as plutocrats. This is incendiary material, eminently useful to Herut [later evolved into Likud] and the Communists. It's dynamite. The immigrants are in some ways taking the place of the [Palestinian] Arabs. There is also special attitude emerging on our part toward them, we are beginning to harbor an attitude of superiority." (1949, The First Israelis, p. 161)
A report sent by a Jewish Agency emissary, H. Tzvilie, in Libya described the Arab Jews he met there as if he were trading horses. He wrote:
"They are handsome as far as their physique and outward appearance are concerned, but I found it very difficult to tell them from the good Arab type."
The Arab Jews were (and still are) looked at for cheap labor "human material" in the "Jewish state," who would eventually replace the Palestinian workers who were ethnically cleansed during the 1948 war. In a secret record, Berl Locker (Chairman of the Jewish Agency Executive) wrote the American-Jewish politician, Henry Morgenthau, in October 1948:
"In our opinion the Sephardi [non-white] Jews will play a considerable part in the building of the country. We have to bring them over in order to obtain the human material needed for building the country."
"What is not so understandable, not justified, is what it did to another people to guarantee its existence. I've been very deeply distressed in my visit to the Holy Land; it reminded me so much of what happened to us black people in South Africa. I have seen the humiliation of the Palestinians at checkpoints and roadblocks, suffering like us when young white police officers prevented us from moving about. My heart aches. I say, Why are our memories so short?" ~Archbishop Desmond Tutu
"I am a black South African, and if I were to change the names, a description of what is happening in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank could describe events in South Africa." ~Archbishop Desmond Tutu
Those pesky laws
"The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies." ~Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949
"We consider these settlements to be contrary to the Geneva Convention, that occupied territory should not be changed by establishment of permanent settlements by the occupying power". ~President Carter (Q&A with American Jewish Press Association, June 13, 1980, Washington)
"Refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbours should be permitted to do so at the earliest practical date" ~UN Resolution 194 on Palestinian refugees
UN Human Rights Commisson "declares that Israel's grave breaches of the Geneva Convention relative to the protection of civilian persons in the time of war of 12 August, 1949, are war crimes and an affront against humanity."
"The demolition and sealing of houses are among the most severe methods of punishment used by the authorities against Palestinians in the Occupied Territories. To our knowledge, this harsh form of punishment is unique to Israel and is not employed by any other nation. Demolition and sealing of houses in the territories contravene international law that prohibits collective punishment and arbitrary injury to property." ~B'Tselem, an Israeli Human Rights Organization.
"When we have settled the land, all the Arabs will be able to do about it will be to scurry around like drugged cockroaches in a bottle." ~Raphael Eitan, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defence Forces (New York Times, 14 April 1983)
Hey, that hurts!
On September 6, 1999, Israel "banned torture". However, since the "culture of torture" is deeply ingrained in Israel, then a serious punishment of interrogators who violate this law must be instituted. Sadly, signs indicate otherwise, as interrogators are already given a wink, since "a court might accept the argument that physical force was necessary." ~AP, Sep 6
“When the subject is torture, there can be no ‘middle-of-the-road’ policy, no compromise, no putting our head in the sand, no flexible and lenient formulas. The considerable experience that has been accumulated on this issue clearly demonstrates the need for a vigilant and uncompromising moral stance.†~Ha'aretz, 12/13/1999, on Israel's attempt to find ways to allow torture under "special circumstances".
"Arabs tend to confess; it's part of their nature" ~Moshe Etzioni, an Israeli high court justice, in an interview with Amnesty International, when asked about the unusually high rate of confessions from Palestinians (indicating Israel's use of torture), 1977.
Henry Kissinger, former U.S. Secretary of State recommended that Israel put down the Palestinian uprising "as quickly as possible--overwhelmingly, brutally and rapidly. The insurrection must be quelled immediately, and the first step should be to throw out television, a la South Africa [referring to an identical tactic used by Israel’s sibling regime, white south africa]. To be sure, there will be international criticism of the step, but it will dissipate in short order." He added: "There are no awards for losing with moderation."
~Quoted in 12/97 article by Donald Neff in The Washington Report on Middle East
"I vow that if I was just an Israeli civilian and I met a Palestinian I would burn him and I would make him suffer before killing him. With one hit I've killed 750 Palestinians (in Rafah in 1956). I wanted to encourage my soldiers by raping Arabic girls as the Palestinian women is a slave for Jews, and we do whatever we want to her and nobody tells us what we shall do but we tell others what they shall do." ~Ariel Sharon, in an interview with General Ouze Merham, 1956
Oops, did I say that out loud?
"The Intifada is the Palestinian's people's war of national liberation. We [Israel] enthusiastically chose to become a colonialist society, ignoring international treaties, expropriating lands, transferring settlers from Israel to the Occupied Territories, engaging in theft and funding justification for all these activities… we [Israel] established an apartheid regime." ~Michael Ben-Yair, Attorney General of Israel, 1993-1996
"Let us not ignore the truth among ourselves... politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves... The country is theirs, because they inhabit it, whereas we want to come here and settle down, and in their view we want to take away from them their country. Behind the terrorism [by the Arabs] is a movement, which though primitive is not devoid of idealism and self sacrifice."
~David Ben Gurion in a 1938 speech
"Jewish villages were built in the place of Arab villages. You do not even know the names of these Arab villages, and I do not blame you because geography books no longer exist, not only do the books not exist, the Arab villages are not there either. There is not one single place built in this country that did not have a former Arab population." ~Moshe Dayan, addressing the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology), Haifa. Quoted in Ha'aretz, 04/04/1969
And from the Queen of Denial herself…
"The Palestinians do not exist." ~Golda Meir, Former Israeli Prime Minister.
Just what does the Torah have to say about Zionism?
(From jewsnotzionists.org, an orthodox jewish activist organization):
Contrary to common perception, Jewish anti-Zionism is not restricted exclusively to the well known Jewish anti-Zionist movements such as Satmar and Neturei Karta.
There are in fact many Jewish movements, groups and organizations whose ideology regarding Zionism and the so-called "State of Israel" is that of the unadulterated Torah position that any form of Zionism is heresy and that the existence of the so-called "State of Israel" is illegitimate.
No one has had to create any antagonism between our Torah and Zionism because such antagonism exists by virtue of the essence of Judaism itself, which can never tolerate the heresy of Zionism.
Zionism is wrong from the Torah viewpoint, not because many of its adherents are lax in practice or even anti-religious, but because its fundamental principle conflicts with the Torah.
Unfortunately, due to many undesirable factors, the view of Torah-true Jewry has been concealed from the general public.
We bring three testimonies of the true opinion of the Torah.
1) In the past two thousand years of the dangers and sufferings of exile not once did any of the Sages of Israel suggest that we make a state to protect ourselves. And in every generation we had thousands of Sages well versed in the Torah.
2) We have thousands of legal work of Torah law that have been handed down to us by the Sages of all generations. Not once do we see a word suggesting the establishment of a state. What we do find are warnings against it.
3) The founders of Zionism were all atheists who denied the Torah. And all the Torah Sages of that time opposed them and opposed Zionism, saying that Zionism would lead only to destruction.
However the true People of Israel will never change their nature or give up their faith. They are the strongest of the strong. Because of their strength the Creator gives them. Zionism is a foreign growth in the body of the Jewish People. The end will be that it will rid itself of this foreign growth and remain pure. Zionism has overcome the Jewish people by force. With fraud and terror, but none of this will help them because the truth will always remain with the help of the Creator. Zionism will not replace the Jewish People. The Jewish People will remain strong in their faith and the Zionist state will cease to exist.
4) It is therefore, our demand that the State that calls itself ISRAEL should cease to exist. Since this won't be done, we demand that they cease to call themselves "Israel", because the entire being is in complete opposition to the true People of Israel. The true People of Israel deny them permission to call themselves by that Name. The Zionist leaders have no right to set themselves up as the representatives and spokesmen of the true People of ISRAEL.
5) Since we know they will not fulfill this demand either, we feel that at least we cry out the truth. And the truth will always remain the truth. By no means or force can the truth be changed. Even if all the world would say that one and one are three, the truth will remain that one and one is two.
6) Let the truth be declared. The use of the Name "ISRAEL" by that state is a complete falsification. The people of Israel have nothing to do with the state. Zionism and its state have no share and no part in the true ISRAEL.
And from one of my favorite minds, I leave you with this…
"[My] awareness of the essential nature of Judaism resists the idea of a Jewish state." ~Albert Einstein
