Ok, here goes, this is what I've done with my life up to this particular moment in Space-Time. (Actually I have done a whole lot more, but, hey, I've been around for awhile--and I am blessed to still be travelin' on!) I went to school for a long time--later in life. "What can I say--I'm a late bloomer!". I've been married twice, divorced twice--the first time for good reason, the second time, I'm not so sure--but it's been part of the journey. Another chapter in the book. So far, it's been a pretty good book. I have two grown kids, my daughter, Jill, is in her third year of vet school, my son, Derek, is in lumber sales and has a great family of his own. I have a parrot named Leo (my friend of 13 years),and recently acquired a dog who I renamed Extra! and a girl rat who goes by Ratnicker (both were hand me downs). I also have a couple of cats that live outside. I spend way too much time trying to love up all the animals, but they deserve it! I lived in Idaho for 30 years in the woods, raising chickens, pigs, ducks, vegetables, and kids; eating wild game that my husband, the Great White Hunter, brought home to the little family. It was wonderful! More recently, I came back to my native San Diego to take care of family stuff. I like to read, particularly good, swash-buckling fiction. I dabble when I can in art and music--though not a lot of that lately. I currently teach biology at three Community Colleges (hoping to get a full-time gig also teaching botany), manage two apartment buildings and am trying to fix up my recently acquired southern California home. I love being in nature, it's good for my Spirit and calms me. Last year I bought a little tear-drop trailer and I hope to take it on a journey this summer. I like to fix up yards and houses. I like all science, but I take it with a grain of salt, it's all relative to human understanding and technology. I'm finding as I get older I get better--but I don't have quite the energy (that sucks).christinamp
