Brit Eilers

About Me

Singer/songwriter Brittany Eilers first wowed audiences when her first original song hit airwaves on the Powerlight Show in May of 2004. Ever since, she has been playing shows and winning fans all over central Illinois. Now simply Brit Eilers, which she jokenly calls her "rock star name," Brit has redefined herself with her first full-length project "Beyond the Front Door" which is to be released in mid 2008. With subtle themes dealing with depression and addiction (Paper Skin, On This Mountain, Alive), these songs remind listeners that there is hope on the other side. Brit reflects by saying: "More than once I found myself sitting at my piano in an absolute mess because I knew these songs were coming from somewhere besides my head. I realize now that songs like those that come from broken moments are the only ones worth recording, because those are the songs people can really relate to."With musical influences including lyrical writers Andrew Osenga and Bebo Norman, it is no surprise that Brit also delivers songs that make the spirit long and the heart beat faster.*Album release date will be announced soon*
