I've been performing since an early age, singing since I can remember. In my twenties a friend introduced me to the folk music of the Celtic diaspora, and I've been singing and collecting it ever since.
I'm most drawn to songs that tell stories, especially the old Child ballads, and that's what I tend to perform. I collect new songs as the co-host of the monthly Austin song session at Things Celtic . In 2006 I formed the band The Pine Beetles , and I perform with them in Austin and Bastrop.
I play tenor guitar, walkabout dulcimer, and walkabout bass dulcimer. My instruments:
