La Sauna è uno studio di registrazione costruito all'interno di una villa indipendente sulla riva di un lago della provincia di Varese. Lo studio è sviluppato su tre stanze: una regia e due sale di ripresa con caratteristiche acustiche differenti e illuminazione naturale. All'interno è spazioso e amichevole, comprende cucina, servizi igienici e saletta con computer e connessione internet wi-fi. Tutti gli ambienti sono cablati con la regia per ampliare le possibilità nelle registrazioni collettive. La sala di ripresa principale, che prosegue all'esterno con un vasto terrazzo affacciato sul lago, quando non utilizzata per registrare diventa un ampio salotto dotato di televisore, lettore dvd, Sky tv, videogiochi e impianto stereo collegato direttamente alla console per permettere l'ascolto di ciò che accade in regia durante il mixaggio.
Facciamo dischi, pre produzioni e demo e ci occupiamo anche di colonne sonore, sonorizzazioni e registrazioni live. Lavoriamo in analogico, in digitale e in entrambi i modi contemporaneamente, a seconda del tipo di prodotto e del budget. Mettiamo a disposizione dei musicisti una vasta scelta di strumenti vintage e non, compresi amplificatori per basso e chitarra, batterie, piatti, tastiere ed effetti. Collaboriamo strettamente con l'etichetta discografica Ghostrecords, di cui abbiamo realizzato diverse uscite. La Sauna is a recording studio on the lake, in the Seven Lake County, northern Italy. The studio features a wide control room and two tracking rooms with different acoustic design and natural illumination. There’s a wide and friendly space inside, with kitchen, toilet and relax room with pc and wi-fi connection. Every room in the studio is linked by cable with the control room to expand flexibility in collective recording. The main recording room, when not used for tracking, becomes a big hall with cable tv, dvd and videogames, and speakers connected with the control room that allow to listen to the mix in a different ambient. We produce LP, soundtracks and demos. We use both analogue and digital recording/mixing, a large selection of microphones, effect and vintage instruments. We produced several releases of the italian label Ghostrecods (Encode, Mr Henry, Merci Miss Monroe, Hot Gossip, Clark Nova, Ronin, Iver&Thedriver, Black Eyed Dog, Dente) and other releases: Vivianne Viveur, Court, Mr Henry&The hot Rats, Orange, Tibe, Disco Drive, Prague, The fog in the shell, Owen Tromans, Angelo "Leadbelly" Rossi

La Sauna è stata concepita secondo la convinzione che in studio un musicista abbia bisogno prima di tutto di un ambiente che favorisca l'ispirazione necessaria a suonare al meglio delle possibilità, fattore decisivo nella riuscita di una buona registrazione. Cerchiamo di mantenerci lontani dai meccanismi seriali e impersonali che caratterizzano altre realtà, sia nell'approccio tecnico che nel rapporto con le persone e andiamo incontro a chi sceglie di lavorare con noi senza imporre dogmi o meccanismi preconfezionati.
