What Goddess Are You?
I like almost everything! Not a big fan of twangy country or gansta rap. I have all kinds of stuff on my ipod, but most recently I've been listening to the Killers, Inkari, Maroon 5, System of a Down and the Last of the Mohicans sound track with a little Weird Al, Daft Punk and KT Tunstall thrown in there.
Where do I begin? My favorites include all Lord of the Rings Movies, nearly all animated Disney movies (not a big fan of The Emperor's New Groove) and Pixar movies, Gone With The Wind, Shakespeare in Love, The Godfather I and II, Star Wars (all except Episode I, but 4, 5 and 6 will always be the best), The American President, Anchorman, Shaun of the Dead and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Another one of my favorites, and probably one of the least viewed movies in the world (because everyone I ever ask about it has never seen it) is Whale Rider. I LOVE this movie! If you have not seen it, go out and rent it!!!
I watch way to much television. Thank goodness I have a DVR so I can fast forward through commercials and I can watch shows when I have time. My favorite shows include: Lost (the best show on TV right now), Heroes, Chuck, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, ER, and the Tudors. My favorite soap opera is All My Children. I'm also a big fan of reality TV. I watch The Amazing Race, Survivor and American Idol.
I am a HUGE Lord of the Rings fan. I have read the books often, and have also read The Hobbit and the Silmarillion. I just finished book 11 of the Wheel of Time series, and I am devastated by the death of it's author Robert Jordan. I really hope someone finishes the last book in the series. I also LOVE Harry Potter. The release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was the highlight of my summer. IT WAS AWESOME!!! And seeing as how I teach young adults, and I have to have books in my classroom for young adults to read, I read many young adult books. Some have been classics like Anne of Green Gables, The Witch of Blackbird Pond, and Juile of the Wolves. I've also found some newer books that I quite like, such as Tangerine by Edward Bloor and Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick. When it comes to adult literature, I like The Mists of Avalon, Ride the Wind and anything by Jane Austen, Edgar Allen Poe and Anne Rice.
Abraham Lincoln, Mother Teresa and Lance Armstrong.
