The band, Desvelo, appeared in the city of Salvador in July of 2001, with the name Reação em Cadeia, and it was formed by the desire and dedication of two friends (Anderson Rocha - Drums AND Eric Ambrosi - Guitar) with the same goals and tastes to successful rock playing .
In the same year two other musicians joined the band: Thiago Marques - Bass and Lívio Porto - Vocals; And they soon began to develop the music style of the band, playing a heavier and more agressive sound with the influences of Pantera and Sepultura.
The musician Adelmo Aquino - Guitar enters the band giving a complete formation of five members.
In mid 2002, the musician Thiago Marques leaves the band and is soon replaced by Samuel Freitas, and the vocal Lívio Porto, was replaced by Ilana Ambrosi.
At this time the band changes its style, because of the new vocal intonation of Ilana, leaning more to pop / rock band covers of Penelope, Pato Fu, Los Hermanos ...(important pop rock bands in Brazilian scene).
In 2003 the band changes the name to Desvelo and begins to compose its own songs. At the end of 2004 Desvelo suffers a new break-up: Musician Lucas Lima replaces Samuel and the output of Adelmo.
Desvelo once again changes its style and begins to work more in the areas of Rock following a heavier and dirty style under the influences of Punk / Rock and hard core, in addition to new compositions and covers of Green Day, Tilt, Inkoma...
In 2006 Adelmo Aquino returns to the band adding one more guitar, and the band begins to compose new songs, with guitar riffs and lyrics that talk about human and social relationships, adding a brand new style to the universal sound of Rock. At the end of 2008, the musician Lucas Lima leaves the band.
A new change happens, with Adelmo assuming the Bass.
DESVELO means: IN Portuguese: Carefulness, Intention to improve Every day. IN Spanish: Atención(Attention), Cariño(care), and also: don't let anyone sleep!!
A banda Desvelo surgiu na cidade de Salvador em Julho de 2001, ainda com o nome de Reação em Cadeia, foi iniciada pela vontade e dedicação de dois amigos (Anderson Rocha - Bateria e Eric Ambrosi - Guitarra) com objetivos e gostos iguais de fazer sucesso tocando rock.
No mesmo ano juntam-se a banda os músicos Thiago Marques – Baixo e Lívio Porto – Vocal, e começam a desenvolver o estilo da banda, fazendo um som mais pesado e agressivo com influências das bandas Pantera e Sepultura. O músico Adelmo Aquino – Guitarra entra na banda completando a formação de cinco integrantes.
Em meados de 2002, sai da banda o músico Thiago Marques que é substituído por Samuel Freitas e o vocalista Lívio Porto, substituído por Ilana Ambrosi. Nesse momento a banda muda o seu estilo, devido à nova entonação vocal de Ilana, voltando-se um pouco mais para o pop/rock fazendo covers de bandas como Penélope, Pato Fú, Los Hermanos...
No ano de 2003 a banda é batizada de Desvelo e começa a compor suas próprias músicas.
No final de 2004 a Desvelo sofre nova separação, a saída de Adelmo e Samuel que é substituído por Lucas Lima. Mais uma vez a Desvelo muda o seu estilo e começa a trabalhar mais nas vertentes do Rock seguindo um estilo mais pesado e sujo, com influências Punk/Rock e HC, composições próprias e covers do Green Day, Tilt, Inkoma, ...
Em 2006 Adelmo Aquino retorna somando mais uma guitarra, a banda começa a compor novas músicas, com riffs de guitarra e letras que discutem as relações humanas, sociais, adicionando estilo próprio à sonoridade universal do Rock.
No final de 2008 sai o baixista Lucas Lima.
Significado do nome: Português: aprimorar-se a cada dia. Espanhol: não deixar ninguém dormir.
