About Me

Fiona Lander and Paul Mason, collectively known as 'Landermason' have been writing and recording songs together since 2000. The music they perform is a refreshing mix of contemporary folk and jazz....Expect to hear uplifting melodies and harmonies within thoughtfully crafted songs, alongside skilful arrangements that showcase the various instruments played. ....They perform in a wide range of venues across the UK and have gained national airplay on BBC RADIO 2's BOB HARRIS Show with their track 'I Will Be Back Soon' (from Angel of the North) and on BBC RADIO 3's LUCY DURAN World Routes Show with 'When the Boat Comes In', their own striking arrangement of the North East traditional song featured on their latest album (The Reason). Guests featured on this CD include Peter Tickell, Kathryn Davidson, Geoff Hutchinson, Sarah and David Jones. Work on the NEW ALBUM is well underway and will be available by the AUTUMN of 2009!! Watch this space......Tracks from 'Angel of the North' and 'The Reason' are AVAILABLE TO BUY individually or as complete albums from www.landermason.com OR on Apple iTunes, CD Baby, Amazon and many other online stores. .........I got my layout at Cleanupmyspace.com

I like the bit of jazz in there". BBC RADIO 3 Lucy Duran ............................................................ ................ 'When The Boat Comes In' - "Yes it's the old Little Fishy song but wrapped in a different guise by the ultra-talented Lander & Mason duo, that edges into folk, jazz & other areas". MOJO PLAYLIST ............................................................ ........ "musically excellent, showing off technical ability but also adding heart and soul into their songs" EDINBURGH FESTIVAL FRINGE ............................................................ ............. "Fiona has the voice of an angel, her singing could coax the birds down from the trees and melt the hardest of hearts. She turns the penny whistle into an art form, blows sensuous sax, plays a mean clarinet and tickles the ivories 'til they purr... At 70-plus minutes it's a long album, but time just seems to float by on a sea of unhurried bliss. Gorgeous." HIFI+ ...............................................
