About Me

I walk with God! That's the most important aspect of my life. Everything revolves around that fact. I'm not perfect, and I recently vowed to give up trying to be perfect. I fear boredom and being ordinary. I'm not big on schedules or strict plans, feeling over-booked or over-planned makes me anxious. Honesty, trust, and respect are paramount in all relationships. I'm a very blessed, and I am grateful for the blessings in my life. I am a very happy.

My Interests

I LOVE.... God, my friends and family, politics, my "ranch plan", new adventures, meeting new people, drinking, floating the river, the beach, being outside, traveling, dancing, singing to the radio, Texas Country concerts, Spazmatics concerts, watching movies, playing board games, being silly, laughing, good stories, great adventures, people who vote, and reading.

DISLIKES... being stereotyped, labels, being bored, driving, tabasco, black pepper, boys who play games, scary movies, not having an endless supply of money, and I hate moving apartments with the fiery passions of hell. I also don't like mean, closed-minded, negative, rude, or ignorant people.

I'd like to meet:

Jesus. The Dahlia Lama and about fifty other historical figures. Natalie Maines and the rest of the Dixie Chicks. Bono. Angelina Jolie. More realistically, I'd like to re-meet old friends.

Music:

I have a soft spot for oldies and classic rock, but my favorite is Texas Country. Roger Creager, Jack Ingram, Pat Green, Kevin Fowler, Cross Canadian Ragweed etc. and Old School country: Willie Nelson, David Allen Coe, Bellamy Brothers, Johnny Cash and the like. I also love Areosmith and Dave Matthews Band. Satellite by Dave Matthews Band is important.

Movies:

Iron Jawed Angels, a movie everyone should see. The Ultimate Gift, Butterfly Effect, Labrynth, Sweet Home Alabama, disney movies, Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, Ever After, Ocean's 11 & 12, Mean Girls, Gone in 60 Seconds, Turner and Hooch, Top Gun, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Dogma, Mallrats, and all other wonderful Kevin Smith movies, and many, many more. It depends on my mood. I DO NOT like scary or horror movies. I can't handle that anxious feeling they give me.

Television:

Grey's Anatomy!!!! Weeds, One Tree Hill, October Road and Men in Trees.

Books:

I love to read! The Bible. I like to read biographies and romantic stories. I LOVE Nicholas Sparks books. But, really I will read almost anything.

Heroes:

Jesus Christ. Our fore fathers who fought for independence that allowed us to live in a nation where we can have our own opinions and freedom over our life's path. Alice Paul and other women's suffrogists who began the treck for women's equality. Feminists of the 60s who continued that treck. Desegrationists and others who fought for equality for ALL American citizens as well as all people who continue to fight to preserve the democratic freedoms which America was founded on that gave me the right to disagree with the government if I so choose EVEN with our current President and his administration. We should all honor them by actively participating in our democratic process by voting and expressing ourselves, our opinions. Furthermore, I admire any person who still has courage and conviction instead of apathy. Drive instead of laziness, and compassion instead of darwinian survival of the fittest. Generations before us worked hard towards goals instead of apathetically strolling through life, expecting everything to happen for them. Likewise, I admire those with the strength and courage to act in accordance with their true self and adhere to their beliefs instead of easily conforming to the acceptable pretty box as society wishes.
