After getting very little accomplished with the 3T’s, Amira would move onto join her three best friends in a group called The Four Untouchables. With history repeating itself, they too would part ways after little success. However, Amira and one of the other members would continue onto form their very own duo known as Lady Cartel (Sabrena) & Co-Co Slim (Amira). The two were phenomenal! Making songs after songs, opening for well known Louisiana artist such as D. J. Jubilee, II Sweet, and crushing their opponents in every talent show. Soon the two would create a local buzz for themselves throughout the city of New Orleans. With the help of their Manager/Producer D.J. Porky they went from Lady Cartel & Co-Co Slim to Violent Identity to The MisFits and finally settling with the name Baby Hott Girls. The thought of victory was only moments away!
By the time they reached college the only thing they struggled the most with was getting a “legitimate†record deal. With only local exposure, too many hungry sharks and not enough money the girls would place music aside and use college as their meal ticket out of New Orleans. In 2001, after one year in college, Amira and her family would finally get their break away from New Orleans by moving to Dallas, Texas. While attending Collin County Community College and working a part time job, Amira wouldn’t write another song for over 3 years. Even though she and Lady Cartel did everything possible to write songs from a distance it would be time and life that would bring on this musical drought. It wasn’t until the summer of 2004 after a chanced meeting with an East Texas group called the 304 Texas Hot Shots that music would spark her interest again.
After a feature on their East Texas hit “Fire It Up†that would be the break and new beginning to the Amira today! A few songs later and show appearances from local clubs in Denton, Texas to live concerts in Kilgore, Texas Amira would be asked to feature on many other dynamic Texas artist albums such as Eighty Proof, Barr Lean, Young Gem who produced Amira’s 1st single “Thug’s Roll Callâ€, and John the Baptist of Baptist Originals Custom T's.
Now, as an independent female artist Amira would spread her wings and branch out reaching different markets. In 2005, Amira relocated from Dallas, Texas to Atlanta, Georgia seeking new and hopeful opportunities. However, unfamiliar with the city and little to no industry experience Amira would return to Dallas, Texas in 2006 ready and eager to learn & start her very own record label. It would be then that Amira would begin networking, self educating, & establishing musical business skills. In 2007, the birth of Blakk Diamond Entertainment graced the world! Amira, C.E.O. & President, would sign herself as the first artist of Blakk Diamond Entertainment.
After teaming up with former Producer “Young Gem of Platinum Beatz†new songs would come alive! Hot, catchy songs such as “Do U Like Thatâ€, “Not’ Cho Chick†& many more. Amira now appears on countless stages, Casa 106.7 Radio Station (Dallas, TX), K104 Hometown Showdown (Dallas, TX) & before hundreds to thousands of current and new fans! In the mix of everything else, she’s currently working on her first mixtape “A Mirror (A Mi r’ ur)†featuring “Boss Ladyâ€, “Do U Like That†& many more with one of the HOTTEST industry producers Beat Doctor of “Beat Doctor Musicâ€! Amira can also be seen on Trix N the Hat Variety TV Show, On the Streets with Donny B. TV Show, and seen at varies MAJOR, LOCAL, & TOP Events in such cities as New Orleans, LA, Dallas, TX, Atlanta, GA, New York City, NY, and Houston, TX!
