the 500s are a three piece pop band from portland maine. unfortunately, we are on an indefinite hiatus until such a time as we find ourselves in the same city again.
we're not ready to say that we'll never play together again, but it does seem possible at the moment.
bearing that in mind we think that it's perfectly in order to thank everyone for their help and support over the last three years, we've really come a long way, and we couldn't have done it without you guys. we'd especially like to thank brendan evans and strange maine, meg at dooryard, ian at space, william and christine with popfest new england, kimmy and all of the truck show kids, ira sterling for recording help, whitney gifford for our uniforms, and all of the bands we've played with, including but not limited to:
rotundo sealeg, tempera, feel it robot, the rattlesnakes, wood burning cat, huak, the besties, one happy island, the smittens, tullycraft, bj snowden, a.m. frank, the pains of being pure at heart, the specific heats, totally michael, turndown day, good luck, metal feathers, gully, 1800's sea monster, and a bunch that we're forgetting.
its been fun, and hopefully it'll be fun again soon.
