About Me

ok, i'm really not sure what to say here..who really likes talking about themselves?? since most of you know the pompous ass i really am, i won't waste your time with cliches.

i'm a paratrooper in the 82nd airborne division, which i joined in order to overcome fear and a great psychological hurdle after my great uncle (god rest his soul) was killed during the invasion of normandy. his plane was shot down as he was pulling jumpmaster duties. according to the more romanticized versions of the story, he was actually shot right out of the paratroop door.

my "more pimporish than thou" swagger is actually the result of an old football injury during my brief stint at auburn. apparently scholarship players don't like the idea of being made to look like "punk fucking pussy faggots" by a 150lb walk-on. a couple of touchdown passes and numerous rushing yards later, i was assaulted at a party and my legs, knees, and lower back beaten severely with a lug wrench.

i have the collected, all or nothing air of a riverboat gambler, about 200 years too late. i've been called a pathological liar but i think this is unfair because a "pathological" liar cannot tell you why they lie. i lie in order to cover my ass, or in an attempt to tell a more interesting story, so there. many men and women alike might tell you they saw me in my underwear and it changed their lives.

My Interests

most importantly i'm a huge humanitarian and generally a pretty charitable cat. my "interests" are movies, reading, drawing, firearms, philosophising about life, jokin, talking shit, doing impressions and voices. i like to break bread and live the high life when i'm not broke. which i usually am. i find that money really limits what i do with my life sometimes, but i pretty much march to the beat of my own drum, so i'm not really one to let senseless price-taggery spoil my fun.

I'd like to meet:

YOU!! and if you've stayed with me this far you've definitely met most of my criteria. however, a few quick conditions are in order here:
A.) not looking for new friends to have to buy drinks for. half of those i already have probably wouldn't even return the favor. so i applaud you for reading to this point, but you can stop wasting your time.
B.) i AM looking to meet friends i went to school/grew up with, or otherwise interesting people for conversation. a good sense of humor is paramount.
C.) please no emotionally fragile people, (i can be a tad coarse.) bouncers and transvestites need NOT apply (but i will never ask you, so..).

Music:

i'm a premier hiphopologist, but that's not nearly the extent of my taste. i can do without buttrock, emo, & techno. there are exceptions to these rules of course. basically everything else has the greenlight!

Movies:

uhh, how much time do you have? gangster movies, action, psychological suspense, comedy new and old, yadda yadda...i love movies.

Television:

any PRISON BREAK fans in the house!? and of course the simpsons.

Heroes:

Valley, AL mayors past and present, the ghost of Stevie Ray Vaughan, mr burns from the simpsons, bill nye the science guy, jimmy buffet, van gogh, v9, and jesse's mom.

and a final prop to all my bros. who got caught up in the game. RIP. SGT Marshall Edgerton & SGT Brandon Hadaway
