About Me
I am a word merchant. I peddle phrases and sentences
through my writing and my speech. I am naturally
inquisitive. That's my training. For years that's what
I've been paid to do - ask, ask, ask - interview and
extract information. Like a needle piercing the skin to
penetrate deeper into the veins to sample blood, I ask
beyond the superficial to obtain substance from people.
And now probing has become more of a habit, a healthy
habit to get to know individuals. Life has been kind to
me. I have been blessed with things that I should be and
that I am thankful for. I believe that life is beautiful
because God is good. As long as one is anchored on faith,
s/he will never go wrong, always finding her/his way home.
I have wandered and I have traveled. I love to do both.
Wandering makes me distracted. Traveling makes me
fulfilled. And music . . . it keeps me satisfied. I love
to sing. I sing to exercise my lungs and my vocal chords.
I sing to exorcise my spirit, to purge the unclean.
Nothing captures the soul like a melody can. So I let it
all out. I sing . . . and I dance. Good music is a good
corporeal indulgence. It makes one's body twist, turn,
writhe, squirm in excitement and delight. I am always
helplessly drawn to the dance floor. Enticed . . . until
I give in. The only way to get rid of temptation is to
yield to it. And the same thing applies to all other
things - even to the simple things in life that I enjoy
most - sleeping and eating. I don't believe in any form
of diet. I don't believe in depriving one's self of
anything good, although good is relative. "Good" is
actually, in my dictionary, a boring word. "Good" is the
ordinary word people use when we can't say anything
compelling. But it's still good. Good is good. The beach
is the best - the sand making love to your feet, the sun
challenging your strength and your stamina, as if
asking, "Can you stand the heat? Can you take it?"
Something about the whisper of the wind soothes my nerves,
calms me down, makes me forget; similar to the way I
forget life beyond the walls of the theater whenever I'm
inside one. Movies, plays, musicals present life in a
different form and give their audience the thrill
of "watching", taking a peep, stealing a glance at other
people's idiosyncrasies and intimacies . . . reflecting
our own. Love going to the mall, sometimes to observe
people; but most of the time to abandon myself to the lure
of the material world. I splurge on fashion. Shopping is a
privilege. Plastic is powerful . . . and in this case,
The pen is mightier than the sword, indeed! I invest in
words. I purchase reading materials as if I had all the
time in the world to read. I love books. I devour books.
INTENSE :) I am a very passionate person. I love
profoundly. I hurt deeply. I have the heart . . . AND I
have the scars. But I'm not afraid. Being deeply loved
gives you strength, while loving deeply gives you courage -
Lao Tzu.
