Steamin Stan Ruffo

In the early-eightys while Stan was still driving cross country truck for a living, from Seattle to Atlanta, from Los Angeles to Chicago, he would sit in playing harmonica with bands all over the country while waiting for his next load.
Stan had taken up the harmonica a few years earlier and was starting to feel pretty comfortable in his playing. By 1986 Stan began playing professionally, and was hooked on playing music to make a living.
In 1992, (with his family's blessings) Stan quit his day job, and began playing music full time. Since that time Stan has performed at countless clubs, restaurants, festivals, prisons, and private events throughout CA, the Southwestern, and Southeastern US.
For more than 10 years, Stan shared the stage with Martin Pugh, (of Steamhammer), both in a duo setting, and with the band, The Instigators. Leading the Instigators, Stan has shared ticket billing with BB King, Ray Charles, Eddie Money and Robert Cray.
As a solo, singing, playing harp, sax, and guitar, Stan has performed at pre-concert parties for Bonnie Raitt, Joe Cocker, and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
