About Me

‘Fish whass oll this legend stuff about?’ Well I’m glad you asked. Although the source of my inspiration for this legendary year may be a tad bit questionable, it was inspiration nonetheless. [See H.I.M.Y.M. for said inspiration] This year, as I’m sure you already know, is 2008. Now this might be an ordinary year for you, like all of the ones before this were to me, but this is the beginning of THE BEST year of my life. [I can feel it in me bones!] Eight is my lucky number and in honor of this, in addition to a few recent changes in my life, I’m going to really LIVE life in 2008 and hope that it will stick for all the years to follow. Starting this year I’m going to DO! This year I want to fight my instincts. Fight the safe bets. Fight the mundane in favor of something undiscovered. Now I’m not saying that all these new ADVENTURES AND EXPERIENCES will be the best thing that ever happened to me but I refuse to let the opportunities pass me by and into the clutches of some other dood. In fact, I will go one step further and say that I WON’T JUST WAIT for opportunities to reveal themselves to me but I WILL SEEK THEM OUT. ‘What if you don’t find them’ you ask. Well then I suppose I’ll just have to make up my opportunities as I go along. So for those of you up to the LEGENDARY IN OH-EIGHT challenge, join me! Some of you already have and I thank you so much for giving this year a great start. Some of you weren’t aware this noteworthy year was unfolding before us; now is your time to chime in with your ideas. Some of you will want to stab me with a fork if you hear me say legend one more time but guess what… I’ve never been stabbed with a fork so if you want that to be your legend in oh-eight, have at it! :) I’m not too sure how to wrap up this tangent but I do recall a teacher once telling me to close with a quote because there is always someone else who has said it better; so take your pick…
I won't be a rock star. I will be a legend. [Freddie Mercury]
Legends remain victorious in spite of history. [Sarah Bernhardt]
I set about seeking a thread, a theme, a style, in the realm of legend. Something that might allow me to give free rein to my juvenile sense of romanticism. [Leni Riefenstahl]
Every crag and gnarled tree and lonely valley has its own strange and graceful legend attached to it. [Douglas Hyde]
Some people hear their own inner voices with great clearness. And they live by what they hear. Such people become crazy... or they become legend. [Jim Harrison]
Barney: It’s going to be legendary!
Ted: Don’t say that! You’re too liberal with the word legendary. [H.I.M.Y.M.] ..
