About Me

on the subject of me: "i'd never sang karaoke before you, i'd never felt brave enough. i'd never walk into a place and let myself out so carefree as you did. i'd never stop worrying about how i sounded or who was listening or what song i chose or a thousand other nagging thoughts that i let prey on my confidence. you didn't seem to care though, and because you didn't i tried to do as well as you did.but then something weird happened. i loved it. i loved having people i didn't judge myself against as friends in my life. i loved picking the most ridiculous songs possible and belting them out full throttle, smoker's lungs and all. and it was never just the karaoke. you taught me that it was ok to be ridiculous and loud and flawed and scared all at the same time and give a big fuck you to it all and keep on going anyway. that at the end of the day it didn't matter what people thought or what they'd heard about you, only that you were you and that was something no one had to explain or apologize for. and then that ridiculous truth, that when you finally lived your life that way, in every way, people would stand up and notice. people flocked to you in droves not because you were prettier, or smarter, or a louder drunk (even though most times you were all these things). people flocked to you because you were honest, and real, and even then the most deluded person could still see that and be humbled. i hope and pray to any god there is that you never forget that. that, and the fact that no matter what else you experience you were, and are, loved." - david mcgowan (i figured an outside opinion here would be helpful)

My Interests

smoking cigarettes unapologetically and pretty much all the time, playing paperboy on sega (i think my sega is still in missouri), rocking out to the jams (whatever the jams might be), kick into fire (-150hp), USA up all night (softcore porn with the porn edited out = reliance on indecipherable plot and piss-poor acting = HILARITY), contemplating starting a band, spontaneous roadtrips, drinking whiskey out of coffee mugs, doing all things to the x-treme, not getting charged 3.25 for a goddamn pbr in a bar, excavating dumpster treasures, cheap intoxicants, being inherently sassy, figuring out how to stop feeling alone even while in a crowd, kraziness (with a k), settling bets about music for my drunk friends at bars, hiding behind large carts full of books, collecting the worst vinyl i can find, harvesting my talents, leaving embarrassing drunken voicemails for people to listen to on their smoke breaks at work, thai and japanese food... and so on and so forth
