skanking in the streets emerged from New Hyde Park in Long Island, New York in the summer of 2006. A high school band turned working college band, they still managed to keep it together when half of the members left for higher learning. With a solid formula they aim to please the local scene and just have some fun.
Skanking in the Streets has been playing all over the long island music scene, sharing the stage with bands such as: The Homecomming Queens, The Fad, This Condition, Royal City Riot, The Watergate Brigade, The Best of the Worst and Among Criminals.
