I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I have to admit I was skeptical about this whole myspace thing, but what the heck...but how can I put who I "am" into a few words, like I am filling out one of those online job applications! Well lets see... Many things define me. I would say I'm an independent, free spirit who loves to travel and experience everything the world has to offer. I have spent the past 8 years or so travelling and living overseas. I have an amazing collection of memories, friendships and stories as a result. I have lived in Japan, Taiwan and India, I've travelled in those countries as well as Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong and Australia. My career has gone through many changes as well..let's just say it took me a long time to figure out my true passion. I taught ESL for a number of years in Taiwan, Japan as well as in Canada before deciding to find something that felt more meaningful and matched my strong desire to make a difference, even in some small way. I attended the International Project Management Program at Humber College in Toronto in 2004-05 and then went on an internship in Chennai, India for nine months. Some of the photos on my page were taken at this time. I came back to this side of the world recently and I'm still adjusting. In some ways I think I have been changed forever by my experiences, I always was a bit of a square peg in a round hole though. :) I am a big lover of electronic beats of various descriptions, particularly when fused with Asian or tribal sounds. I also love to cook and eat and drink and be merry! I'm always open to trying new experiences and I love meeting people...I want to remain as fascinated by the world as possible. I am also interested in following a spiritual practice following Eastern traditions including yoga, meditation and reiki. I love taking pictures. Hmm that is about all for now. :D
